It is a rather chilly 36ºF morning here outside “Proud Czech” Josef Rusicka’s Joe’s Café & Coffee (“Pretty Good Food & Great Coffee”) as Carl, Fred & I (Jay is out of town until Saturday) linger for a moment or two before returning to the warmth of the café.
“So,” Carl rumbled as he cradled his mug of organically and shade-grown, fair-trade, French-Roast coffee in an attempt to keep it hot & warm his very large hands, “what are we posting about this morning?”
“Who said we are posting this morning?” I replied with a question (don’t you just hate having a question answered with a question?).
“Aren’t we SUPPOSED to post daily?” Fred asked as he edged toward the door to Joe’s.
“Some would say,” I replied, “others don’t believe that’s necessary.”
“Okayyyy,” Carl smiled, as he too worked his way towards the door, “Are we posting?”
“Yep,” I chuckled, “I need to inform our ‘Gentle Readers’ that the ‘Ship’s Chandlery’ is temporarily closed for a product upgrade, that we have placed some photos on the ‘Our Saint Paul’ page, and that you Carl are writing tomorrow’s post.”
“ME?”
“Yep.”
“Mercy!” Fred said, concluding today’s post.
