TransformationAs I enjoy the rather coolish (yeah, yeah, I KNOW “coolish” is NOT a word Mr. Spell Check – GET OVER IT!) 45ºF & clear morning in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and my mug of organically & shade-grown, Fair Trade, French-Roast coffee, on this Monday morning, my gaze drifts to a neighbor’s home.

Its an easy shot, this home, and since last summer I’ve taken the shot several times, and have accumulated a small collection of photos during the passing of the seasons, except Autumn – maybe I did capture it last Autumn and just can’t find the photo. Probably.

No matter, I can get another this coming autumn. Today, however, I present my back porch view of the transformation of winter’s beauty to summer’s beauty.

Chris: Little is relative, it doesn’t look like it, but it is more than 1,500 sq ft. It is also the newest home on the block, built a mere 60 years ago!

I love to see these changes in seasons (did you read my post about bugs? we have 3 seasons here in Florida: rainy season, hurricane season and love bug season) :)

Totally unrelated, but there is a new TV show called New Amsterdam where a guy that is immortal has taken picture of New York (or Chicago) for many years and the shots are super cool.

Ines: Yes I did read your post about bugs–after reading this, and made a comment. I’ve not seen new Amsterdam (early name for New York).

    I miss the snow!! :)

During love-bug season we also have ridable grasshopper season too :( . Suckers are big enuff to put a saddle on them and hop away. And, from what I can gather there is no “safe” way to kill them short of buying a bb gun. (Which isn’t out of the question)

I love that show New Amsterdam Ines, he takes a pic of the Chrysler building every year. He gets really mad at devolpers for ruining his city (New York) on occasion too)
