Very-Wide—Very-Tired Saturday Smile!

“It is an especially fine morning here on my back porch…”

“It is an especially fine morning here on my back porch…”

It is an especially fine morning here on my back porch in the Upper Town neighborhood of Old Saint Paul, Minnesota.

And this morning, that mug of organically & shade grown, Fair Trade, Sumatran roast coffee, is especially helpful in getting the blood corpuscles corpsucling & the brain to fire on all remaining synapses.

Because I stayed up waaaay past my usual stupid o’clock bedtime to rescue our prodigal daughter from the clutches of Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport!

Upon our return to our little estate, we observed the simultaneous arrival of “K,” Sarah’s BFF (as if by magic), so in addition to Daisy’s raucous greeting of tail a-blur and Beagle squeaks & whines of joy, we experienced the happy reuniting of old friends. All this, plus Tiger the cat’s belated greeting in the form of a kitty scolding, not too surprisingly, kept us old folks up until about 11pm CDT (very late—very-very late—we are NOT night-people).

Today? Well today will go on as usual, with some drooping eyelids as we adjust ourselves back to normal—whatever normal is.

Welcome home Sarah!
