After a Mojito-lubricated dinner, which everyone thought quite tasty (we really don’t know how tasty the meal was for certain), everyone made their way on deck. They were greeted by a too-early darkening sky sky and Ines by the words of the Pilot, Melissa as she arrived at the pilothouse, “There’s a storm a’comin’!”
“How serious, Pilot?”

“Could be very serious, Captain,”
Chapter X—Episode 1:
“Could be very serious, Captain,”
“Why am I hearing of this now?”
“Doppler didn’t pick it up”
“How long?”
“Should hit in half an hour.”
“Should?”
“SWAG, Ma’am, Doppler still doesn’t see it!”
On the foredeck below, Mayor Maggie & Chris couldn’t keep their eyes off the thickening clouds. “It looks like its coming from the east.”
“It does Chris. That’s unusual, most of our weather comes from the northwest this time of the year.”
“The sky looks spooky.”
“This brings back memories, Lysa,” Sarah said as she and Lysa stood atop the main cabin, “memories of our voyage last year aboard the Sparrow.”
“I was thinking the same thing, only the Sparrow is a much larger boat.”
“Don’t remind me.”
At the stern, Kiwidinok Silverthorn & Camille Farkleberry were watching nature spooling up an unpleasant experience for them. Kiwi thought out loud, “And they call the wind ‘Mariah’…”
“The Ashinabe?”
“No just a song.”
“We’re in for it.”
“Yes.”
As luck would have it, both Medlar Farkleberry and Hiram Silverthorn were themselves running late, and had only just arrived as GotBob walked in.

“You’re late, O Bob of the Got, we’ve already eaten.”
“You’re late, O Bob of the Got, we’ve already eaten.”
“Dang Hy, yuh ought not t’be lying like that, I’m hungry!”
“Lar, doya have to be so honest?”
“Thanks, Lar. It would seem our village elder has a bit of a prevarication problem.”
“It’s not a problem, at least not when the Farkleberry is not around. You are going to adopt Ralph.”
GotBob was surprised by the statement…not question. “How? I only just decided a little while ago!”
“Just the look on your face. Do you play poker?”
“Benson.”
“Huh?” Hiram was not ready for that response.
“My RW dog…I wonder why he hasn’t just shown up…like Buttons, or Pepper?”
“Wal, I think y’oughta ask Daisy.”
“She’s on the ‘No Boyz Allowed’ trip, Lar.”
“Jest call’im.”
Ines gave the order for all passengers to go below and secure all hatches. All had been trained for such an emergency and in less than two minutes, everyone was safely in the main cabin with Ines & Melissa in the pilothouse. All hatches had been made secure, and everyone accounted for. Almost.
“Daisy!” “Buttons!” Sarah and Chris simultaneously exclaimed.
“Where are the dogs?”

“Where are the dogs?”

Love the doggies on top.
“How long?”
Waiting for the RW dog …
Dang, my hair gets frizzy with any sort of precipitation.
After those Mojitos a storm could be messy.
Susie: Does that comment merit a “SUSIE!!!”?
Sarah: He must first be drawn. Oh. Wait. If he is drawn, is he then no-longer RW?
Maggie: Not here in the cyber-universe!
John: Oooo…hadn’t thought of that!
It may be raining cats and dogs (sans the cats) if those 2 pups stay up there!
Ines: Indeed!
Oh no!!! Buttons and Daisy in harms way! It can not be.
Chris: Sorry, but it MUST be….Dogs are great adventurers!
