And so they were. And there it was…
…With a broadly-smiling Medlar Farkleberry standing next to the P38M Night Fighter.
Painted on her nose was a Bald Eagle with talons extended and the name “Night Eagle” painted below, “I hope you don’t mind the nose art, an eagle of your acquaintance suggested it.”
Mac simply smiled.
Season VI, Chapter 2, Episode 13:
“I love the nose art, especially since the eagle is obviously a likeness of Karma, the great War-Eagle, and her image will certainly give FlutterMatters a jolt.” Mac smiled at the thought, “And, perhaps, give this airplane a bit of good ‘karma,’ something all pilots wish for.”
While Mac and the others were admiring the airplane, especially Sarah (who was certain she could talk Mac into teaching her to fly this beast—she was right—of course), Boomer strolled into the hangar and walked into the office and was more than a little startled… “Hello Alpha-Jack!”
“OH!” he exclaimed, as he immediately began scratching behind her ears—just like he did for so many years, “Ohhh, Cujo, my old Beagamute friend…WAIT! You’re not sending us back yet—are you?”
“No, not yet. I just wanted my ears scratched.”
“That’s all?”
“For a dog-person, that’s often enough. But no, I’m considering sending Beta-Andrew back with you.”
“Why?”
“Your life may depend on it.”
“Not good enough, Cujo. I forbid it.”
“What of the lives of your friends?”
Too soon for everyone, they sensed their time in 2012 Danger Bay was soon to end and they began to gather at the Cabin-on-the-Rock along with several of those who would remain in 2012, Susan, the Farkleberrys and Silverthorns were all there.
Mac had prepared a celebratory meal, and of course, Susan supplied several treats from Seven Tables for them to enjoy.
The Farkleberrys reminded the time-travellers to try to get a portrait of the brothers of 1873—and to help 1873 Medlar find a bride.
Cujo, too soon, arrived to return them—the rest of her conversation with Boomer will not be disclosed—a cliffhanger…
To be Continued…

Oh just send me to the “cabin that rocks” …. and please, no rugs on the floor.
Whatever…SUSIE!!!
When we get back from 1873, if you don’t mind.
At last! Back to the PAST!!!
No “blood-lust” guarantees made, or implied.
None? None at all? Really?
Ain’t it the TRUTH, Sister! AR-ROOO!!!
Would you like your ears scratched?
Methinks thinks Fluttermatters that planes, old buzzards, painted eagles and chicklets with rug-less rockin’ cabins are all too much to consider whilst in the bluest of blue left coast mountains.
Considering your considerings is a bit much for any rational being.
Thank you…stop in again!
