EDITOR’S NOTE: After several hours, four recounts, dozens of “hanging chads,” we have a WINNER.“New Banner 1 Port of Danger Bay Dec 2012″ (7 votes to 1 vote).
Season 8—Changes:
So…While preparations are being made to deal with the Cartel—and poor Lieutenant Silverthorn is about to enter the 61-Way Café where Rip, Lester and Tony are “ready for him…” I wish to share some big changes in the appearance of the Port of Danger Bay, Minnesota.
The Port of Danger Bay is divided into three parts: the North Bay, where the village was founded, the Harbor, where the boats and ships are berthed, and the South Bay. I’ve not yet drawn the new Harbor, so the illustration shows the new North Bay (top) and South Bay (bottom):

I was motivated to return the village to it’s roots back in 2007-08
I was motivated to return the village to it’s roots back in 2007-08 as I liked the more scenic and rustic flavor it had then as these illustrations demonstrate:

Danger Bay Harbor 1

Hiram in Silverthorn’s

Allen Simpson at Cooper’s General Store

Later that night at Swigs
And now—the NEW North Bay:

North Bay, Cooper Home & Hunter Park

North Bay, Swigs & Cooper’s Gen’l Store

North Bay, Silverthorn’s and Farkleberry’s

North Bay, Edith’s Fish & Bill’s Barber Shop

North Bay, Town Hall & Marshal’s Office
And—the NEW South Bay:

South Bay, Karen’s Cabins, PawZ & Anderson’s Gifts

South Bay, GrayBus Lines Station & Charlie’s

South Bay, Farkleberry & Silverthorn homes, Chapel & other South Bay Homes

Such a beautiful place! I love all the different textures and natural materials — if they ARE natural materials when they’re virtual … ? Hmmm. Anyway … such a warm, cozy looking place can’t help but feel like home!
Thank you very much! Now to apply a little “finesse,” I’ve already added a covered bridge between Cooper’s General store & Farkleberry’s leading to a forested clearing across a small river.
Spectacular surroundings!! WOW! Looking forward to what comes up next.
Thank you very much! More fun as I add stuff here-n-there.
Wow I am proud to call this virtually HOME!!!!
It is beautiful!
Thanks, Chris. Almost a pretty as the real North Shore of Lake Superior…almost.
Where is my doghouse? AR_ROOO!!!
Niceeeeee !!
