“I might be a while, maybe Larry could bring the squad back. The dogs & I can ride with Chris. The dogs are due for their annual physicals.”
“That works for me,” Larry quipped, “You have no idea how scary it is riding shotgun with Marshal AJ.”
Andrew grinned—widely, “Not to mention the pigeon-poop Flutters left behind in the squad.”
“He didn’t, did he?”
“I dunno, but if he did, you WILL take care of it…right?”
Season 8—Chapter 1—Cartel—Episode 12—Conclusion:
We begin at Silverthorn’s Café—Where we find Hiram Silverthorn with his wife, Kiwi and Medlar Farkleberry… “Good afternoon Chris, Susan, I hear there was a major arrest-action at the 61 Way Café.”
“Good afternoon Hiram,” Chris had a wide smile, “Yes it went well, Sheriff McCoy was pleased to be ‘rescued’ and the kidnappers are now occupying his jail in Moosehead City.”
“Your son Hiram was the man who engineered the whole thing, putting himself in danger to keep McCoy safe until we arrived,” Susan added, “But it was the sentient critters to whom we really must give the credit.”
“That’s what I heard. Junior called us with the news an hour or so ago, but he also believes this cartel business isn’t over.”
“It probably isn’t over. But the botched kidnapping has got to have hurt them. Jim Hickok is convinced they’ve only begun their operation,” Chris too was convinced they hadn’t heard the end of the cartel, “But that’s not why we’re here, right, Susan?”
“Yes,” Susan wasn’t sure how to approach what was on her mind, so she decided to be direct, “Seven Tables is doing really well in Williams’ Station…”

Susan met with Hiram Silverthorn at Silverthorn’s Café
“…But it’s seasonal, right?” Hiram interrupted, “And you’d like to open a restaurant here in Danger Bay? We feared this day would come.”
With that, Kiwi about spit-out the tea she was drinking, “HIRAM!”
Hiram grinned at his wife and then surprised Susan by adding, “Wonderful. What can we do to help?”
“Really?” Susan, had she known Hiram Silverthorn better, would not have been surprised—Chris who had become quite close to the Silverthorn family was not, “I came to see if you’d mind the competition, I wasn’t expecting an offer to help—thank you.”
“Kiwi and I are content with and want to concentrate on the early morning through lunchtime business and we were planning on cutting back our hours some. Someone has to cover lunchtime into the evening hours.”
“So,” Kiwi smiled, “Let’s talk business.”
