When?” It dawned on Sarah what had happened. Jay and she had few secrets—birthday and Christmas gifts, for example—so there could only be one other reason, “Hmmmm—Cujo, eh?”

Season 8—Chapter 3—The New Cartel—Episode 2:

Continuing our story—with Jay & Sarah at the Cooper home… “Come on Jay! This really isn’t fair.”

I CAN tell you this much,” Jay felt bad—they really didn’t keep secrets, “If I don’t do this for Cujo, Danger Bay as we know it may no longer exist.”

What do you mean?”

“What do you mean?”

Honestly, I can’t. You must talk to Cujo, or to Hiram Silverthorn…” Jay’s voice faded—just as HE & Pepper faded.

Jay!” Sarah called out, but knew what was happening—she’d been there enough times. She had a couple of choices: wait for Cujo, she would appear sooner or later, or go to Silverthorn’s and hope Hiram was still there.

She was just about to walk to the café when Cujo appeared. Well not completely—she had a specter-like half here and half not appearance—kind of cool thing, actually, “You have some explaining to do, Miss Cujo!”

Hi Sarah. I expect you want to know what’s happening…”

Ya think?”

There is a job he must do in the past.”

Doing what, exactly?”

Cujo appeared at the Cooper home

“Doing what, exactly?”

Changing history.”

Changing history? What can Jay do by himself?”

He’s not alone. I wouldn’t do that,” Cujo smiled, “He’s safe and in good company with Pepper, Daisy, Alpha-Boomer and Larry.”

Changing history? And if they don’t?”

The Port of Danger Bay won’t exist.”
