“The Tall Ships won’t be there, Carl.”
“I would like some more artesian well water please, People-dog Josef,” Daisy arfed politely, “Alpha-Jack, if we’re going to see the Tall Ships, shouldn’t we go to Danger Bay and take the Falcon? We could see them better and be part of the event.”
“Good idea, Beagle-Breath, what do you guys think?”
“Let’s pack up and leave tomorrow after breakfast!”
Season V—Chapter 5—Episode 4:
In Old Saint Paul:
“Leave for where?” A very familiar voice asked.
“Here comes trouble with a capital T,” Medford Ambrose quipped as T walked past.
“Oh, hi!” Carl greeted, “We were trying to decide where to go for a short vacation and decided on visiting Duluth to see the Tall Ships.”
“Not without me, I hope.”
“Of course not, Alpha-T,” Daisy arfed.
At the same time in the Port of Danger Bay:
Sarah, PepperCooper, Chris and Buttons were packed and ready to go in less than the two hours they’d expected it would take. They went to the float plane’s dock and loaded the little L16 with their gear and soon Sarah taxied out in the bay, pointed the nose into into the wind and jammed the throttle to it’s stop. Soon the little airplane climbed above the bluffs and Sarah set a course for Old Saint Paul.
“This is so exciting, Sarah, I’ve never flown in a float-plane before.”
“Little planes are fun, you can see so much better than in an airliner. Keep your seatbelt fastened, though, the ride can get rough.”
“Oh look, PepperCooper, we have company!”
“It’s Karma!” Chris exclaimed.
Although her beak didn’t move they all heard the great war eagle, “My gentle friends, you will be too late. Even now they are preparing to leave Old Saint Paul.
“What can we do?” Doc Shouse thought to herself.
“I will help you,” they heard, and moments later they found themselves flying over the Mississippi as it curved through the city. Sarah landed the L16 at the Port of Saint Paul
impressing the several “River Rats” enjoying the morning on their boat decks.
But were they on time?
To be Continued…
Omg, T!!! I hope we were on time!
