Prevously:
“Shadbush?”
“Yeah, Shadbush, he lives out that way and he thinks you are harassing him.”
Just then there was a soft knock on the door, “Come in,” McCoy said walking towards the door.
“Oh, It’s you!” Big A exclaimed when the door was opened revealing…
Season V—Chapter 5—Episode 8:
In Moosehead City Sheriff’s Office:
“I could come back later, Sheriff,” rookie Deputy Peter “Ace” Schwarzkopf acted more than a little surprised to see Simpson in a private conversation with the sheriff. Although pleased, he had to maintain the mutually feigned disgust at seeing Simpson with McCoy.
“I was just leaving,” there was ice in Big A’s voice as he made his way to the door.
“I’ll handle your request, Al” McCoy said to the big man’s back as he went quickly out of the office, “You wanted to see me deputy?”
“Yes—but—why was HE here?”
“Not that’s it’s your business, Deputy Schwarzkopf, he has business in town, and since I stop to visit various businesses during my patrols, I occasionally stop at Eagle Point Tours, he was just returning the favor. That is something I expect you to do while on patrol.”
“Stop at Simpson’s? After how hard he tried to keep me from becoming a deputy?”
“You may skip Eagle Point tours,” McCoy laughed, “But spend time at other businesses around the county, let them get to know you. Oh…and by the way, you needn’t concentrate so much on Randolph Road north of the Rez.”
“Shadbush! He needs to be watched.”
“I’m not telling you not to go there, just less often. We don’t need to make him a martyr with his friends, now do we?”
Schwarzkopf had a few other questions for the Sheriff, and was soon on his way back on patrol. He WAS pleased that the Sheriff was getting increasingly tight with Simpson…their plan seemed to be working.
Meanwhile…aboard the Adventure Bus:
On the Highway at last, but which highway? The understood goal was to visit Duluth, was that where they were headed? The adventurers were already settled in for the drive. Boomer & Big Mac, notorious early-risers were already in their staterooms enjoying a nap, Sarah & Chris were watching the scenery along the highway and the canine pals were doing what dogs do on a road-trip; they were napping as well.
Collie was in the driver’s seat; she was not driving. The Adventure Bus was going where it wanted to go—Collie called out for help…

When I was a kid, big cardboard boxes were airplanes, trains, houseboats, but *especially* Gypsy Wagons. Taking home with me, like a turtle. Love motorhomes, but love my gardens, too. And I’ve had cars with attitude, and they were the best loved 🙂

We have a “real” replica Gypsy Wagon in a neighbor’s back yard. It was thought to have been built for and used in an old movie. It is very cool! 😉

well… great codger and diviner of stories untold – riddle me this
It is with obtuse supposition drawn or the white light glare reflected while flying over the ice bergs of the high north that methinks thinks FlutterMatters as he notes the commentary, that these girls have a predilection for “Vans and Wagons” and wonders why? Curiouser and curiouser thinks FlutterMatters.
