They flew past the monorail…and over the desert before finding a place to park the Adventure Bus. Buttons showed them her home and some of her favorite places. The peopledogs just HAD to see the Strip! Although the dogs in general thought a visit to the strip was not a good idea—humans could be so impetuous when it comes to gambling—they knew it was hopeless…
I have no idea if they actually went inside, but I do know they were all smiling when they returned to the Adventure Bus for the journey home!
Season V—Chapter 6—Episode 1:
They arrived safely in Old Saint Paul, Minnesota and seconds after debarking from the Adventure Bus, it simply disappeared into untamed cyberspace, leaving our adventurers standing with their bags outside of Joe’s Café and Coffee.
“The Adventure Bus can’t be tamed,” Buttons arfed. She had been the only one of the adventurers able to control the bus—and wasn’t exactly sure how she did it, “It will come and go as it pleases.”
“That was me, Alpha-Chris. I sensed the bus was about to disappear, and commanded it to leave our stuff.”
The obligatory hugs and promises of return visits made; the Danger Bay “Adventurers” contingent climbed into Boomer’s old ’57 Buick “Gandolf” for a quick ride down to the Levee where the L16 was moored. Soon Sarah maneuvered the little float-plane into position and made a picture-perfect departure from Old Saint Paul.
“I need a nap, are we going home?” Daisy yawned the kind of yawn as only a dog—or perhaps a crocagator can.
“Not just yet, beagle-breath, we have an appointment at Fleming Field in South Saint Paul.”
“DAMMIT” Daisy bayed under her dog-breath and promptly curled up on Gandolf’s spacious back seat. And fell fast asleep.
“Wake up hound!”
Daisy was a little disoriented for a second or two; she bounded out of the car and looked up, “It has my name on it!”
“Wanna go for a ride?”
Meanwhile…a certain pigeon we all know was having himself a very nice flight somewhere over Moosehead County…
