“Renegade, you are more foolish than I’d imagined,” Snowstrom growled, “Ringo is a smart and wise leader. He has trained his lieutenants well, and under the instruction of that tri-colored mongrel, Cujo, his son has become a most formidable Prince.”
“But why would going back in time help us?”
“Because we shall find his sentient ancestor there and be it male or female, kill it. THAT will ensure our victory here.”
“Ahhh—clever. Kill the ancestor and Ringo will never come to be.” It took a few moments for the real significance of this to sink in, “And neither will I!”
“We all must make sacrifices for the cause.”
Season VI, Chapter 8, Episode 42 Dog Adventure 4:
Renegade’s temper flared, a temper that far exceeded his ability as a warrior and ‘though he was a capable fighter, so too was Snowstorm. As one might expect, his temper won out and without so much as a warning snarl he attacked Snowstorm.

Meanwhile the Canine-Knights-of-the-Realm were celebrating Ringo’s knighting of Flutters …er… “Lawrence Reginald FlutterMatters” AKA “Zonta-Pules” with doggie abandon. After an hour or so, Ringo called an end to the celebration, “We must begin your instruction. We have little time remaining before the WolvenRealm comes under attack.”
“How do you know this?” Daisy asked, head cocked to one side.
“I’ve ‘felt’ the threat deep inside me for months and that feeling grows ever stronger. Think about times when you just knew something was about to happen.”
They all had, to some degree, that feeling and each told of it in turn. But most often they realized the feeling too late to be proactive and act on it.
“This is your first and most important lesson: How you must open your mind to such feelings and to understand their meaning.”
Ringo had no sooner finished speaking when all experienced such a feeling, a premonition, if you will, of something…
