A small gray wolf came out of the brush. She was young, not even a year old, “You speak. I thought I was the only one.”

I am Snowstorm, Queen of all sentient wolves and with me is Fang, my First WolvenKnight.”

There is one other nearby, I sensed him and was going to find him when I sensed your presence.”

Join us and we will hunt him, for he is a traitor and must die.”

Season VI, Chapter 1, Episode 14 Dog Adventure 13:

He was who the small gray wolf, known as “Wingfoot,” sensed, and unwisely blurted out loud—thus condemning both of them to death.

Come,” Snowstrom growled, “Let us meet this ‘other’ you speak of.”

You couldn’t pronounce his name, GENTLE READERS, because the human tongue cannot contort properly, but it roughly translates to “Star.” Flutters spotted him about a hundred yards away from Daisy and her pack. He flew low near the young wolf and squawked, “Follow me, there are others who speak!”

He flew low near the young wolfStar whirled around to see who spoke and seeing the bird, “You can speak?”

Follow me,” Flutters saw Snowstorm and three wolves approaching at about fifty yards away, “Hurry! There are wolves approaching and they will attack you.”

Moments later they reached Daisy and company, “Snowstorm and two others are coming, thirty seconds tops!” Flutters wasted no time on introductions.

Ben, Renegade, PepperCooper with me, Alice, Buttons, move away to the west a hundred feet and protect the newcomer!”

No one, not even Renegade questioned Daisy’s orders as they quickly moved into position, “Okay, act like we’re having a nice conversation and are not expecting an attack.”

Clever, Daisy,” Renegade whispered, “Snowstorm will not realize the trap; she thinks I’m dead.”

They quickly moved into positionSnowstorm and the others stopped about a hundred feet from Daisy, Renegade, Benji and PepperCooper; she was so certain that the wolf among them was the ancestor of Ringo that she did not recognize him and immediately ordered, “ATTACK! Kill the wolf and his canines!”

They charged in, two of them—Wingfoot, realizing she would be their next victim, hung back. She noticed Star with some other canines and ran towards them.

As Snowstorm engaged Renegade, Fang took on the canines, completely underestimating their abilities, and paid for that when Pepper ducked low and snapped at his foreleg, breaking it. Benji & Daisy finished the job and he found himself in a green field next to a smiling tri-color mongrel.

Snowstorm charged her quarry and as she was about to spring, “Hello Snowstorm, ready for a rematch?”

Those were the last, very surprising, words she heard, before she too was greeted by Cujo.

Thus ends the Dog’s Adventure…but the story will continue…

  5. Chris Shouse says:

Very nice Daisy! We could have gone a little further with it?? What about Wingfoot is he going to join the good gang? 🙂

    • Daisy Boardman says:

People-Dog Chris, In the “Previously” section is the following line:

“A small gray wolf came out of the brush. She was young, not even a year old…”

      And in today’s Post:

“…the small gray wolf, known as “Wingfoot,” sensed…”

She is Wingfoot, and will mate with Star, thus creating Ringo’s line of sentient wolves. The story will continue as part of the regular story. AR-ROOO!!!
