Annnnd…the vacation began!

Previously:

Not ALL of us, Chris,” Mac rumbled with a grin.

You knew?” Larry was surprised until he thought about it a moment, “Wait—THAT was why you didn’t want to follow Thunderhoof’s sensing Pal—RIGHT?”

Mac just smiled.

Why didn’t I know this, Alpha-Jack?” Cujo was concerned she was losing her touch.

I’m sorry Cujo, In order to prevent you from calling me back to the present too soon, I had to purposely NOT think of you—that was the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do.”

Am I allowed to ask a question?” Jay Cooper was new to 2012 Danger Bay and was unsure of the protocal.

Sure, go ahead—but don’t expect a completely honest answer,” Larry cracked, “Especially if you’re asking the Codger.”

Why am I wearing this apron?”

Boomer and Daisy return to Cabin-on-the-Rock ©2012 Jack Boardman

“Ask Sarah,” Boomer replied, smiling.

Ask Sarah,” Boomer replied, smiling.

I REALLY need to beat-up some sky,” Mac announced.

Me too,” Sarah echoed, “Even though that L16 can’t exactly ‘beat-up’ the sky—but maybe irritate it—a little”

Hey, Jay, wanna take a ride in my P38?” Mac asked, “That is—if you take that apron off.”

I have my ranch to tend to,” Susie smiled, “Cujo, are our horses there, yet?”

They are, and Medlar Farkleberry is tending them.”

I’m heading for Williams’ Station to visit Andrew, would you like a ride, Susan?”

Thank you, yes.”

If it’s only been two days away, I’m sure PawZ is fine—but still, I need to be there, there must be some new dog-people to meet.”

You know? Maybe we should stop by Silverthorn’s Café first—I really need some of that coffee,” Larry suggested, “I wonder what ‘Big A’ has been up to.”

The dog-people? They were really looking forward to a frolic in the forest—where they might get to see Ringo WolvenKing!

Erik was anxious to enter Derby’s story into his computer, “I think I’ll go to my boat, if no one minds.

Hey! Faded jeans—and NO APRON!” Jay exclaimed—smiling, Big Mac, I think I’d like to fly with Sarah.”

Hey, NO APRON ©2012 Jack Boardman

“Shucks,” Sarah smiled, “About the apron, Jay, about the apron.”

Shucks,” Sarah smiled, “About the apron, Jay, about the apron.”

Jay missed reading this morning! I’ll have to remind him after work — he’ll laugh about the lack of apron. 🙂 Wonder if he’d really trust me as a pilot … ?
