“…Let the interview begin!”

Previously:

His comment was overheard by Hickok, “Nice to see you again—partner.”

Boomer smiled, “Which explains why ‘James Bultler Hickok’ is still riding with me—but doesn’t explain the gun-handling.”

Practice,” James replied and then asked, “Do you know of any work around these parts? My funds seem to be running low.”

Oh my—do we EVER, GENTLE READER! But should we send him for an “interview?”

Season VI, Chapter 7 Danger Bay—2012, Episode 9:

Susan, with an impish smile, replied before Boomer could react, “Why sure, Town Marshal Susie Blackmon is looking for a ranch foreman for her place overlooking Danger Bay. Just follow the road south out of town and turn left at the tee, then drive about five miles and you’ll see her mail box on your right—it’s the first one you come to.”

Well, THAT was disappointing,” Chris and Sheriff Todd McCoy had just finished a very throrough inspection of Allen “Big A” Simpson’s new animal shelter after finding not a single code violation—the place was, in a word, perfect.

Don’t worry, Doc, I will keep a close eye on the place and let you know if I see anything the least bit suspicious.”

“Don’t worry, Doc, I will keep a close eye on the place…”

Thanks Todd. I appreciate that. You can give Dr. Red Cloud a shout if I’m back in 1873.”

You’re going back?”

Probably, there’s unfinished business there.”

Sell the store, Sarah?”

“Sell the store, Sarah?”

Yes Mac, after flying the Lightning, how can I ever go back to stocking shelves?”

You know? I could use a partner, or perhaps partners, Jay. We get awfully busy in the fall with flying hunters to Canada.”

After his close-call with the big lake-boat, Erik returned to port, secured his boat, and returned to writing The Derby Brothers ~ A Tale of the Real Wild West, what would become his second best seller, and first to be made into a TV mini-series.

Marshal Blackmon returned from town after placing her first job-applicant in jail with an accompanying call to his parents (who would bail his sorry butt out a few hours later) and as she pulled into her driveway saw another applicant standing next to a long red car, “Oh…my! Let the interview begin!”
