“Well, what now? The good folks have thanked us, and sent us out to pasture.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” Larry quipped, “We COULD go for a train-ride.”
“What train?”
“You know, the train…” Larry began, but his memory of the weekend faded—again.
“We could go harass the casino-boat from the air,” Jay suggested, “They didn’t tell us not to.”
“That’s not exactly the same as suggesting we harass the boat, Jay,” Sarah too, was wondering why they’d not been included in the plan.
“Hmmm…beating-up some sky could take us out over the lake,” Boomer deadpanned, “And we might just ‘happen’ to see the boat—and go in one at a time for a closer look. Where’s the harm in that?”
Season 8—Chapter 4—Fighting Back—Episode 3:
“There she is—off the starb’d quarter, Captain!”
Some hours later—on the bridge of the MV Sparrow… “There she is—off the starb’d quarter, Captain!”
“Thank you helm. Open comm.”
“Comm is open.”
“Ahoy steamer, heave-to and prepare to be boarded,” Captain Molly Halloran ordered, “Coast Guard Auxiliary, close and prepare to board.”
“We’d best get to our guns.”
“Aye, Susie,” Big A replied, grinning, “Let’s do this.”
Before anybody could move, “Aircraft approaching the boat—moving fast—from port to starb’d!”
“Aircraft approaching the boat—moving fast—from port to starb’d!”
They looked up to see three airplanes fly low past the casino-boat—missing her by mere feet and then circle around for a second pass, “What are they doing?”
“Are they armed?”
“It’s possible,” Molly was hoping they wouldn’t fire on the boat and then and there realized, they should not have excluded Boomer, Larry and Mac from the operation, “Those airplanes have real guns.”
At the same time—aboard Boat Six… “Okay Canines get ready for boarding,” Chris began but was interrupted by Lieutenant Silverthorn.
“Chris! Look! It appears our friends are taking action—from the air!”
“Chris! Look! It appears our friends are taking action—from the air!”
Chris turned around to see the airplanes begin their second pass, “Oh my!”
Daisy was a little upset, “I should be in that Mustang!”
What happened next surprised everyone…
…It shouldn’t have!
