“What changed your mind?” Josef asked—finally pouring Boomer some coffee.
“First I was going to end the blog, then I thought I’d change it back to a multi-purpose blog as it was in aught-seven,” Boomer replied, “Finally, I realized I love doing this, and it doesn’t matter how many readers/commentators I have. Give Carl some credit for that—we had a long phone conversation, a conversation that tipped the scales in favor of continuing on.”
Season 8—Chapter 8—Changes—Episode 3:
Continuing our story—the IRL folks are at the Cabin-on-the-Rock… “Soon, at least according to Cujo, we’ll be called back to 1874 Canada to complete our mission there,” Boomer began the meeting, “And that visit will last until the end of this chapter—seven episodes. What I need to know now—who wants to go back to 1874, and who doesn’t.”
“It’s okay to remain behind,” Carl added, “Especially since now that Cujo has her powers back, our time travel will only cause us to be gone from 2013 for only a day or two.”
“I’m staying back,” Collie McIntyre grinned in anticipation of Carl’s reaction.
Carl didn’t disappoint, “EUREKA!! Free from the ball & chain!”
“I’ll be sticking around here—the bird-brain is wearing me out,” Larry announced, “Maybe Flutters will latch-on to someone, anyone else.”
This came as no great surprise—Flutters DID seem to always be hanging around Larry—and that could wear any sane person out.
“I love the adventures,” Susan said, “But my passion is cooking & baking. If you need me, just let Cujo know—I’m going to stay behind for now.”
No one else spoke up so that bit of business having been taken care of, “I could use some lake-time, I’m heading out front to the overlook, which seems to be overlooked all-too-often.”
“Wait for us, Boomer,” Chris loved the big lake—and the view from the Cabin-on-the-Rock.
“You know? We haven’t had a ‘Lake Adventure’ for a very-long time,” Sarah observed.
