Season 8—Chapter 8—Changes—Episode 6:

Rejoining our story—Upstairs at PawZ… “How so? You’ve only been gone from 2013 for a day…”

“How so? You’ve only been gone from 2013 for a day…”

“A day here,” Chris replied, “But many weeks in 1874 and as you well know, it’s hard to adjust after any amount of time spent in time travel.”

“Yeah, that’s true. It IS worse than traveling between time-zones—like flying to Europe, for example.”

“I think I’d like to make this a mostly open floor, with a kitchen on the forest side, and a greatroom on the lake side—I love watching the lake—it relaxes me.”

To Chris’ utter amazement, as she thought about what she’d want, the second floor began to change. And if she rejected an idea—the room immediately responded.

She settled on a design leaving the log construction intact on the side walls and covering the long walls with drywall and wainscoting with off-white trim, and a hardwood floor throughout.

She designed a galley-kitchen on the forest side of the building, and selected a retro combination wood and gas stove, modern stainless-steel sink in a retro cabinet, and a retro icebox (in appearance only—inside it was competely modern).

She oriented the greatroom to face the lake with a couple of leather easy-chairs and an off-white love seat and, of course, a rustic dining set.

Along the back wall she set-up her office and placed a second love seat. She hadn’t decided on what artwork she wanted—that could be added any time, she reasoned, “Well—what do you think?”
