What say you?

I rarely play with blog-statistics; and perhaps I shouldn’t—but I did [Sigh]:

Danger Bay BannerNovember 2012: 37 visits ave/day. November 2013 (thus far): 16 visits ave/day.

I’m less concerned about the number of visits—the comments have dropped-off dramtically in November as well.

This blog lives on comments; not the raw number of visits.

You may have noticed that I have removed the “Like” button, I did this because WordPress in its infinite wisdom makes it possible to “like” the post via email without actually visiting the blog—there are actually people out there who go from blog-to-blog liking posts, an entire community of them who never visit any blog—just clicking the “Like” button on dozens of blog-posts. I don’t get the point.

I am taking a hiatus from blogging as of January 1st 2014, the length of which has not been determined. I plan on concentrating in the back-end of the blog by completing the rather boring task of fixing broken-links. Google HATES broken links.

I don’t believe this blog has a lot of unrealized SEO (search engine optimization) potential, but still I should do what I can to please the Google-Gods.

What you can do:

  • Press the “Share” button of either Twitter or Facebook.

  • Remember that some of the BEST comments have nothing to do with the post.

  • Share any ideas you have that might increase the appeal of the blog.

On the other hand—perhaps this old blog has run its course and its time to move on.

What say you?

No it has not run it’s course it is just now getting going! I will hate any length of hiatus you may deem it necessary to take!
