Previously: “I got a feeling we’re being watched, Spenser,” Jeremiah Smith said, looking around.
“I do too, but by who—where?”
They both looked around at the surrounding hills for some time—but saw nothing.
“Aw, if there’s someone out there, he’s too far away from us—and Loco to do us any harm,” Smith concluded.
“Lets move out,” Spencer ordered.
And so they did, stirring up the dust as they rode off.
Dust that Flutters noticed—moments later he noticed the arrow in the sky.
Too bad Spencer and Smith didn’t see the arrow in the sky…
Season 9—Chapter 4—LOCO!—Episode 2—Flutters made the rounds…Even Daisy would admit—grudgingly, perhaps—that her friend Flutters was capable of performing beyond reasonable expectations—IN SPITE OF THEIR RIVALRY!
We didn’t ask her, but noted her tail wagging when Flutters found Boomer, AJ and Daisy and gave them his report.
Flutters remained long enough to report, and then flew off.
Boomer, AJ and Daisy quickly rode off (with Daisy riding with Boomer on Pal—she simply couldn’t keep up with galloping horses for very long).
It was not long before Flutters found Chris, Sarah and Jay and repeated the news—and flew off to find Larry Yatkowsky.
Chris, Sarah and Jay (with Buttons and PepperCooper riding with Chris & Sarah, respectively) mounted up and headed towards Loco—at the gallop.
A very tired, but still plucky, Flutters soon informed Larry of his observation and moments later Larry and Flutters were riding towards Loco.
Some questions for you to consider, GENTLE READER…
Will our heroes get to Loco before the bad guys?
And if they do—WILL IT MATTER?
To be Continued…
