Back to 2014

Loco Part II BannerPreviously: Chris and the others found Wyatt alive and well, and learned of the fake cavalrymen he’d dispatched.

Susie asked if she could interview the prisoner, Earp agreed, “He isn’t very forthcoming, Susie. Good luck.”

After only twenty minutes Susie came out of the jail cell, “They weren’t fake cavalrymen. We need to pay a visit to Fort Savage.”

Never mind, Wyatt, my interview technique is one you can’t possibly replicate. You’re the wrong gender.”

Season 9—Chapter 5—LOCO Part II!—Episode 5—And…back to 2014 Danger Bay… If you’ll recall, GENTLE READER: We’re now in the final lap and the race is either AJ or Boomer’s to lose. They came off the last turn and on the the final straitaway to the finish line dead even.

As they bore down on the finish line at over 160mph…

How could this happen?”

Boomer and AJ in the pits

“How could this happen?”

I don’t know, Dad—but it REALLY bugs me that Sarah won the race in ‘Patch,’ it’s not even modified in any way.”

We need to discuss ‘timing’ with the Beagamute.”

We do,” AJ agreed, “But somehow we need to go and sincerely congratulate my big sister. Who taught her how to drive?”

Meanwhile—back at the Superior warehouse…“You need to come with us.”…and Chris, Sarah, and Jay were captured—BUT—PepperCooper and Buttons were not.

They snuck off the yacht—against orders, thanks to the irrepressable Buttons.

They observed where their humans were taken, and wisely returned to the Superior where Pepper figured out how to operate the secure radio and called Danger Bay Airfield tower for help.

Collie McIntyre was working in the tower and quickly notified her husband and alerted the rescue operations crew. Mac contacted all on-duty peace officers and they in turn rushed to the airfield.

Twenty minutes later the Sikorsky UH-19B was in the air—an unusual rescue operation underway.

To be Continued…

  1. Sarah Cooper says:

Pepper called for help? 🙂 He does have a wonderful howl. Now that he’s getting older, he spends more time on the porch howling his approval as Mojo does the running and barking bits.

  2. Chris Shouse says:

Way to go Pepper! Buttons can be a scalawag 🙂
