Previously: It was then they noticed that Wyatt Earp IV wasn’t there—of course he wasn’t—he had a murder investigation going-on in 2014 Danger Bay (we still don’t know WHO was murdered, GENTLE READER).
Mayor James Fitzhugh was standing next to a man who could have been his twin—in fact he is his twin, “I’d like to introduce you to John Fitzhugh, my younger brother.”
“By all of ten minutes,” the younger brother shot back.
“He has agreed to be our permanent town marshal.”
“I’ve never been a marshal, but—if you’ll teach me, Marshal Shouse?”
Season 9—Chapter 5—LOCO Part II!—Episode 11—As the others went outside… Roland McGyver remained inside as he had a feeling—a feeling or, perhaps, a premonition… “Hello Roland.”
McGyver turned and about jumped-out of his skin—a DOG was speaking to him!
“I’ve lost my mind…”
“No,” the dog replied, “You are quite sane. I am the Beagamute-who-bends-time. Can you tell me where you were born?”
“Just humor me.”
“I don’t know. I grew-up in the orphanage in Moosehead City where they told me they found me on their doorstep. No note. Nothing. Just me.”
“As I thought,” Cujo replied, “You are now in your correct time, Roland.”
“What about 21st Century Roland?” Cujo interrupted, “He’s fine, sleeping below-deck on the SS Superior, where Chris and the Coopers will find him at the end of this visit to the 19th Century. Only now, he’ll have a family history.”
“What about me—this me?”
“I can only tell you the obvious: You will meet, fall in love, marry, and have a dozen children—one of whom will be 21st Century Roland’s great-great-grandfather.”
“But I—he was a criminal…”
“Who will meet 21st Century justice, and whose actions in helping my friends will be taken into account at his trial.”
“How many years in prison?”
“The 20th & 21st Century McGyver family were closely related to the McIntyre family—hence your stong resemblance to Big Mac. Mac and the others will speak on his behalf at trial. He will be found guilty by a Danger Bay jury, and will be sentenced two weeks probation, after which, his criminal record will ‘disappear.’ The people of the Port of Danger Bay have an interesting take on justice. Something Moosehead City could learn from.”
