A needle in a haystack

The engineer went back to his buddies and Chris and Wyatt wondered who was driving that car.

Eagle Point Marshal Lieutenant Hiram Silverthorn, Jr. walked in just as the engineer finished was leaving, “Hello Chris, Wyatt, you look like you have news.”

“We do. We have a lead,” Chris replied.

Season 10—Chapter 1—A Murder in Danger Bay—Episode 5:

“Well, what now Wyatt, what does this information tell you?” Hiram asked

Lieutenant Hiram Silverthorn, Jr. walked in

“Well, what now Wyatt, what does this information tell you?”

Wyatt played with his mustache as he did when he was deep in thought. Chris secretly thought it a very sexy trait. She blushed at her own thoughts.

“I will run the car through the database and see how many are registered in this jurisdiction and check stolen cars throughout the state.” Wyatt replied, “And while I am glad to have the lead it will still be like finding a needle in a haystack.” He got up to leave touching Chris on the shoulder he said quietly “Glad you are home I best get digging on this lead I will see you later.” He nodded to Hiram as he left the table. Hiram looked thoughtful,” He still really has his work cut out for him and I know the town wants answers.” “See you later Chris.”

Chris just nodded as she was thinking so hard she barely heard Hiram leave. There must be a way she could help Wyatt, there just has to be.

Chris jumped up excited, “I’ve got it, I don’t know for sure this will work but at least it is worth a try.”

As she hurried out of Silverthorn’s Café, she nearly bowled over Boomer and AJ as they were walking up to the door, “Hi Chris, how’s the…” Boomer didn’t get to finish.

“Sorry Boomer, I must go,” she said, grinning, and got into her car and drove over to Moosehead City.

“Never get in the way of a woman on a mission,” AJ laughed.

Boomer just grinned.
