Season Ten—Chapter Four—Sandra Peterson—Episode 1:

…They were standing in 2014 Silverthorn’s Café. They quickly departed—with Big Mac and Collie going to stay at Boomer’s new place—the Cabin-on-the-Rock was being remodeled. Collie needed a walk—Mac needed a nap.

Doctor Sandra Peterson, DVM, walked along Historic US 61, deep in thought, walking the puppies was always therapeutic. She so loved this town of Danger Bay and the peace she had finally found.  The safety she felt was indescribable.

“Hello, you must be Doctor Peterson, I have wanted to meet you.”

“Hello, you must be Doctor Peterson”

“Hello, you must be Doctor Peterson”

Sandra turned to see a smiling woman with her hand outstretched, “Oh hello, why yes I am she replied and you are?”

“I am Collista McIntyre, Doctor, but everyone calls me Collie.”

“It is a pleasure to meet you, and please—call me Sandra.”

“Well, I am sure that Pawz keeps you busy, but you do have some time off—yes?”

Sandra nodded.

“Well, we have a book club that meets once a month and I would like to have you join us. There are 5 regulars and Chris, Susie and Sarah join in when they are not off on some adventure. We just met yesterday, but it would give you a chance to meet people in the town. We are starting Atlas Shrugged so you won’t be behind.”

“I would love to, thank you for asking I will head for the library and pick up the book this afternoon.”

“Great I will let you know the details.”

Sandra walked away with a happiness inside that she had never known.

Collie looked after her wondering what the haunted look was that she had seen in Sandra’s eyes.

Sandra took the pups back to PawZ and was heading down to the library to get a copy of Atlas Shrugged. She smiled and was feeling a sense of belonging.  She had not had that feeling since she was 10 years old. She laughed out loud as she saw the size of the book.  She hoped it was good.

She was so engrossed in the back of the book she did not see the red Mustang drive slowly by.

Sandra didn’t see the red Mustang

Sandra didn’t see the red Mustang

If she had—she would not be smiling any longer.

To be continued…

Oh, I really liked Atlas Shrugged! And those are the most well behaved puppies I have ever seen! Walking them actually would be therapeutic. 🙂

Interesting—”haunted look?” Leave it to you, Chris to tease us! Boomer: Collie read this and requests a makeover—she’s not fond of that jacket. That’s a hint, Codger! 😛
