Running!

Sandra Peterson BannerPreviously: “I went to the town of Two Harbors and got a job.  Soon as I could afford an attorney I filed for divorce.  Since we did not have an address for him I just had to put it in the newspapers.  I prayed he did not see the posting.”

Ruby was very thoughtful through all of this, “How did you end up in Danger Bay?”

“I had to run again!”

Season Ten—Chapter Four—Sandra Peterson—Episode 8: “I was at work one day right after the divorce was final and I had my last name back and I saw him, driving really slow down the street.  My heart dropped and I told my boss he had to get me out of here, he got me out of the back door and gave me the keys to his old car. He told me keep and pay him when I can. I drove back alleys to my apartment and threw everything into a suitcase and drove out-of-town.”

“I just kept driving until I came to Danger Bay and I just fell in love, Sharon paused, “I saw an ad in the paper for Pawz and the rest is history.  I love my job, I love the town and I love the people I am becoming friends with.  I do not want this to end!”

Sandra fell silent, drained but still feeling better than she had in a long time.

Ruby just gave her a big hug and said, “I have a feeling that all is going to work out just fine!”

They were back at the sister’s house again, Sandra went in and thanked them.

Ruby walked her back outside. “We will talk again soon drive safe.”

Sandra waved and got into the old car, she had paid her boss and kept the car, but it was older so she did not drive it all that much.  She could walk most places which she loved doing.  Ruby waved as she drove off.

A car came to a stop just up the street and caught her attention.

A car came to a stop just up the street.

A car came to a stop just up the street

She suddenly had a bad feeling.

It was a Red Mustang.

She had not seen it around town before.

To be continued…
