Where Is She?

Previously: Sandra said, “It is good to see you again, we were just out at the charred mess of a house. We stopped by the little farm stand to see Mandy when we pulled in the house was boarded up; a ‘For Sale’ sign was in front of the house. Do you know what happened to the family?”

Ruth gave a sad nod, “The family was killed in a car accident about 9 months back. So sad everyone around here was shocked.”

Sandra gasped, “I never got to tell Mandy thank you!”

Season Eleven—Adventure 1—Family Ties—Episode 6… “Thank the Lord, Mandy was not in the car Sandra, but with no relatives the State came and took her to a group home over in Duluth.  Last I heard she was still there. There are not enough foster homes to go around. What is happening in the world today that so many young kids are not with their parents?”

“I don’t know Ruth, but it really is a sad situation,” Sandra replied looking at Sarah and Chris, “Can we extend our road trip a little?”

“Absolutely,” Chris replied, “Finish up breakfast and lets hit the road.”

“Let’s go,” Sarah agreed.

Heading to Duluth, Sandra put her thoughts to words, “Do you think the State would let me be her foster Mom? I know I am single but I have a job and a roof over my head. I think Danger Bay is a great place to raise kids and I think you guys would reference me wouldn’t you?”

Chris and Sarah both bobbed their heads up and down.

“I think it is a great idea” said Sarah.   

As they pulled-up in front of the house, Sandra crossed her fingers and said a small prayer as they went to the front door.

A kindly looking woman greeted them, “How may I help you ladies?”

“We are here to take Mandy Riley to a new home,” said Sandra.

Will it happen?
