Previously: “Still—here we are. My brother, Amhlaoibh, is here, along with the rest of the gang—and they are planning on taking-over all the Forest City crime operations—by any means possible.”
“You’re a member of the McOsker gang—why are you telling me this?”
“I don’t believe in violence—I believe in friendly persuasion. You may have noticed, I drive myself—I don’t trust any of our bunch. You wanna be my driver? My brother is looking for more gang members.”
“What’s in it for you?”
“Immunity. Get in the car—we are being watched.”
Yes—Minicucci WAS watching—and did NOT like what he saw.
Adventure 5—Gangsters—Juco—Episode 6—Meanwhile… Flying at speeds approaching 500mph, Chris flew past the Twin Cities—not noticing the view, but concentrating on her mission.
Chris arrived in Rochester, Minnesota with Hiram Silverthorn and Doc McLean where an air ambulance was waiting transport Silverthorn to the Mayo Clinic.
Knowing that Hiram was in the best medical hands possible with Doc McLean and the renowned physicians at Mayo—she was content her job was done.
When she was about half-way home—she got the radio message she’d been dreading—Hiram was in “extremely-critical” condition, and near death!
Meanwhile—In Forest City… “Who ARE those guys?” Boss Minicucci wondered out loud. His intuition informed him they were trouble—possibly unwanted competition.
Too late realizing this—Minicucci went back inside and gave the order to his gang, “Find those guys and eliminate them—don’t come back until you do!”
They didn’t “find those guys,” or “eliminate them,” having driven right past the cabin which Juco had chosen for the McOsker gang’s hideout, and they DID return to the casino and a livid Minicucci, “Whaddaya mean you couldn’t find them?”
Not receiving an answer, he decided that maybe they went to Moosehead City, “You two!”
“Us?” Tomasso DeLuca, and Placido Mirante replied in unison.
“Yeah, you two,” He grinned, “Go to Moosehead City—they gotta be there. Don’t take no crap—anybody hassle you—kill ‘em!”
An hour later—at Farkleberry’s Star Service they were hassled.
It seems their car had expired license plates and Town Marshal Officer Oliver McLintock approached them as they were filling their gas-tank, “G’afternoon, gentlemen, it appears your license plate have expired. You should…”
McLintock didn’t get the chance to finish as Tomasso shot him dead with his silenced Glock 9mm.
The clerk didn’t hear the shot, nor did he see the officer fall out of sight behind the gangster’s car.
To be continued…
