“Whoa Chris! Be careful where you point that thing!”

Casino BannerPreviously: As time went on Gypsy grew more dead inside. Sent from home to home she knew no stability and nothing but unkindness in her world—that is—until she was brought, along with other troubled women, from the Twin Cities, by of all things—a magic dog, to the McOsker Gang. The others—all opportunists—quickly latched-on to a gang-member. She saw nothing in these men any different from any other man she’d ever met.

Adventure Six—CASINO—Episode Two… Medlar Farkleberry said to Chris as she left Farkleberry’s Star Service, “Drive to Boomer’s place—then look in th’ trunk—but not ‘til then.”

“Why?”

Drive to Boomer’s place

“Why?”

“’Cause I fixed sometin’ up special fer ya. I figger you kin figger-out how t’use it all right. Yuh best wait ‘til y’get there, okay?”

“Okay, Thanks Lar,” a perplexed Chris replied. She couldn’t help herself as she did a four-wheel burnout a soon as she pulled-out onto Silverthorn Avenue.

“WOW!” was all she thought as she took her foot off the gas pedal—and wisely obeyed all traffic laws until she arrived at Boomer’s place.

She was mildly surprised to see Wyatt there, along with one fellow dressed for a costume party, apparently, and another with an eye-patch and walking-cane.

But what REALLY surprised her—was what she found in the trunk of her Buick, “Whoa Chris! Be careful where you point that thing!”

Chris was holding a Farkleberry-Thompson Submachinegun. And grinning from ear to ear.

“Where’s Boomer?”

“He’s in the boat—showing Linda its features,” Wyatt replied, “This gentleman is Liam McOsker, the brother of Amhlaoibh (Pronounced Aleev) McOsker, and he has agreed—after insisting on immunity—to help us infiltrate the McOsker Gang,”

“Why the old car and outfit?” Chris asked.

“They were brought here from 1933.”

“Cujo?”

“No, a long story—and Boomer is on it.”

Meanwhile—aboard “Skeedaddle,” Linda’s boat…

“According to the ‘hull-speed calculator,’ this boat will only go about 10mph, maximum speed,” Linda was a bit disappointed—especially after hitting 500mph in her P51 Mustang.

“It’s your house, Linda,” Boomer laughed, “How fast does your house in Chippewa Falls go?”

“Point taken—but still…”

Boomer showed Linda her boat

“How fast does your house in Chippewa Falls go?”

“It may not be as bad as you think—let’s take her out.”

Meanwhile—At the McOsker Cabin…

“Where’s Liam?” Boss McOsker bellowed…

To be continued…
