Previously: Meanwhile—At the McOsker Cabin… Liam McOsker invited Gypsy DeLuca to go for a drive—so they could speak privately and get to know one-another. Gypsy was still a little unsure of this guy—he was so respectful—and seemed so shy. It must have taken a lot for him to invite her.
Against her better judgment—she agreed.
“There’s a place in Danger Bay I’ve heard about, where we can talk—privately—but with people around,” Liam thought such a place would make Gypsy more comfortable and safe.
He drove directly there—something that made Gypsy much more at ease.
“You know this is difficult for me.”
“And for me,” Liam replied.
And Previously: In no time at all—or so it would seem—GENTLE READER—they’d driven the 200+ miles to St. Paul—unloaded their luggage at the McIntyre’s condo—and…
They were about to enter the MALL…
Adventure Six—CASINO—Episode Seven… Gypsy was surprised when they arrived at a place called Silverthorn’s Café. Liam had surmised she would be very skeptical if he stopped in a secluded place when he saw Gypsy relax he knew he was right.
“I do not play around with women,” Liam said, “But I find myself very attracted to you Gypsy. In fact I am surprised at the feelings I am having.”
He reached over and ever so slightly touched her hand. Electricity shot through him and he wondered if she felt it too.
Gypsy jerked her hand away not knowing what that feeling was. She had never experienced it before and it shook her to the very core of her being. Suddenly Gypsy felt very shy and vulnerable—a feeling she did not know if she liked at all, “Let’s not rush this Liam, I do not know what I am feeling but I know it is something I have not felt before. I have to be honest it scares me to death.”
Liam had to agree, “Yes Gypsy, we will take it very slow. I want to get to know you. Not anything that may have happened to you in the past but you as you are now and what we could build together. I know your past helped shaped the person of today but we do not need to talk about it. Heaven knows there are things in my past that we need not talk about. I am doing things now to put some of those things to right. I may act for the next little while in a way you will not understand. Can I ask you to trust me?”
Meanwhile—At the Mall of America—They’d barely entered the Mall when, “Excuse me lady,” A heavy-set man addressed Collie, “May I see what you have in that bag?”
