OutGunned!

Gangsters BannerPreviously: When the shooting stopped, Chris and Black Cloud looked through the window and discovered both the shooters lying on the floor—there was little doubt whether or not they were alive.

Black Cloud sighed, “I wish we could have taken them alive.”

They went into O’Donnell’s, fearing collateral damage—instead, they found willing recruits for McOsker’s gang.

…and a very angry Frank O’Donnell, “Who’s gonna pay for the damage to my place?”

“Who’s gonna pay for the damage to my place?”

“How much do you need?” Chris asked.

“With the window and all the bullet-holes in my mahogany bar, I reckon five-thousand bucks.”

“Okay,” Chris agreed, reaching for her wallet, “Let me see—here’s 10 grand. Courtesy of Aleev McOsker.”

“You carry that kinda scratch in yer wallet?”

“Sure, don’t you?”

“Of course not.”

“Are you of Irish decent?” Black Cloud asked.

“I am,” O’Donnell replied, “Why do you ask?”

“Mr. McOsker is looking for a proud Irishman to help him out,” Black Cloud replied, “He wants to set-up pull-tabs and slot machines to compete with Giordano Minicucci. If you were to agree, you would earn 10% of the profits.”

“Minicucci is trouble—and that’s a fact! Coupla his boys stopped-by last week with the same idea—and threatened me. How you gonna deal with that?”

“You trust these folks,” Chris asked nodding in the direction of the Radatz sisters and the Thomas brothers, “Don’t you?”

“I do.”

At that moment, Frank O’Donnell, Martha & Mary Radatz, Harold & Howard Thomas became members of the McOsker Gang.

About the same time—at the Forest City Casino… after Boomer said, “As a matter of fact I’m pretty-sure you are about to lose a couple of your operatives,” he and Yatters shifted position along the bar—their intuition informed them that Minicucci was too friendly by half.

“As a matter of fact I’m pretty-sure you are about to lose a couple of your operatives,”

They were correct as both noticed a couple of henchmen—armed with semi-automatic rifles approaching.

They had left their mare’s legs and revolvers in the truck—they were in deep trouble.

They drew their back-up guns—modernized Colt Model 1911 automatic pistols.

Still—they were out-gunned and in deep trouble.
