Gang wars bannerPreviously: after Boomer said, “As a matter of fact I’m pretty-sure you are about to lose a couple of your operatives,” he and Yatters shifted position along the bar—their intuition informed them that Minicucci was too friendly by half.

They were correct as both noticed a couple of henchmen—armed with semi-automatic rifles approaching.

They had left their mare’s legs and revolvers in the truck—they were in deep trouble.

They drew their back-up guns—modernized Colt Model 1911 .45ACP automatic pistols.

Still—they were out-gunned and in deep trouble.

Adventure Seven—Gang Wars!—Episode Six… Lt. Col. Yatters—without hesitation—AND with a wide smile, turned to Minicucci, “You’ll notice we’re not aiming our Colts at your thugs—we’re pointing them at you.”

Giordano Minicucci was not a fool. He, almost casually, waved-off his minions. They quietly walked into the back room. A CCTV-monitor-equipped back room.

“Colonels, I like your style, let us get down to business. Let us retire to my office where we may speak privately.”

“As long as there are no active monitoring devices,” Col. Boomer warned as he pulled-out his all-purpose smartphone (phone, camera, recorder, and electronic interference device) and set it on “record,” “We can talk.”

“Okay, gentlemen,” Minicucci grinned, “What can you offer me that I don’t already have?”

“We have a small group of very-motivated people—motivated not just by money—but by a mission.”

“And just what mission would that be, Col. Boomer?”

“For years these people have felt marginalized by society and they turned that feeling into blaming everyone—but themselves—for their situation in life. We’ve shown them they can be relevant, and well-paid. They are as we speak, being subjected to the most demanding training we can offer—something, I suspect, your employees might benefit from.”

“Tell me more.”

“That murder and mayhem are not always the best persuaders,” Yatters replied, “There are other less lethal methods.”

“Now, Mr. Minicucci, you must tell us everything about your operations,” Boomer added, “And I mean everything—or we will take you down.”

Minicucci believed him.

MEANWHILE—at the McOsker cabin… Upon their return, Shouse and Black Cloud were invited to join Aleev McOsker in his private office—where heretofore only his brother was ever allowed to visit.

That meeting went much the same as Boomer and Yatters’ meeting with Minicucci…

“And so, Mr. McOsker,” Chris concluded the meeting with, “you must tell us everything about your operations, I mean everything—or we will take you down.”

McOsker believed her.

To be continued…
