All the set-pieces were coming together

Gang Wars BannerPreviously: “You and One-Eye Farkleberry take the Skeedaddle off Eagle Point on the north side of the peninsula,” Black Cloud replied, “We believe that Minicucci has a yacht where he goes to when he thinks he’s in danger.”

“So does McOsker,” Chris added, “A stream yacht named ‘Chicago.’ We’re going to try to get Aleev and Liam aboard before the hit.”

“And?” Linda asked.

“I think you should take-out Mincucci’s yacht’s power plant,” Black Cloud replied, “Liam will rescue Mincucci for us. I’ll be aboard to ‘convince’ Aleev to go along with that—one way, or another.”

“I’d rather just sink them both!” Linda grinned.

Chris laughed, “I like how you think!”

MEANWHILE—in Stanleyville—Gangsters…

…from BOTH gangs arrived!

Adventure Seven—Gang Wars!—Episode Eight…

They drove past each other—both teams were scouting for the hit being planned by each of their respective gangs.

A fortunate turn of events—GENTLE READER—as it allows the story-line to continue until ALL the set-pieces can be put into place.

Boomer & Yatters arrived in Miller’s Junction, about two miles from Stanleyville, where they met-up with Merle McIntyre and his team.

They prepared for their part in the operation.

Black Cloud and Chris arrived at the McOsker hideout, where they convinced Liam and Aleev along with Bambi DeSantino and Gypsy DeLuca to board the steam yacht.

Soon the McOksers were out on Lake Superior and heading up-lake towards Eagle Point.

Minicucci was heading down-lake towards Eagle Point when he observed an old steam yacht approaching from the south—he rightly concluded it was the McOskers’ boat. He observed that there were many people aboard and although outnumbered, he decided to engage them—all he had to do was kill the McOskers themselves and the rest? If they died—so much the better, “Get ready fellas, but keep your guns out of sight until I give the order to fire.”

Linda and Maddock Farkleberry aboard Skeedaddle, after a maximum speed run from Danger Bay saw the two yachts in the distance, “Get ready to deploy the turret, Mr. Farkleberry.”

“Aye-aye, Ma’am, raisin’ th’ turret now—what’s our target?”

At the same time… Flutters spied a large number of vehicles on the highway, both north and south of Stanleyville. Travelling at high-speed.
