“We need to talk.”

Back to the past Banner Previously: Gunfire erupted from the rocks along the shoreline and one after another of the riders fell.

“I’m up to seven hits,” Chris exclaimed.

“I have eight!” Linda began to reload, “Four misses.”

“Ten out of twelve shots!” Chris shouted as she stopped to exchange cylinders.

“Good!” Linda was already reloading as the remaining riders felt the wrath of a half-dozen wolven warriors followed closely by three small Canine-Knights-of-the-Realm.

Many riders fell from their horses—the majority fled upon their terrified non-sentient horses.

They didn’t get far before the sentient steeds hiding in the woods were upon them—not a single raider survived.

From atop Sezavich’s Smokehouse, Boomer had Almonzo Slater centered in his scope.

He squeezed off a single shot at Slater—relieved that Slater was facing him.

Season 12—Adventure 1—Episode 1… “Wow—you weren’t gone long,” Collie McIntyre was a veteran of time-travel, but when one is not traveling, one forgets, however momentarily, the fluidity of time.

“Where’s Kiwi?” Sarah asked.

She just went to answer a knock on the door

“She just went to answer a knock on the door.”

“She just went to answer a knock on the door.”

Before anyone could react, Kiwi returned, “Hmmmpf! There was no one at the door. A knock and run prankster, I expect.”

None of the time-travelers reacted at the fact Kiwi was alive—after all THAT was WHY Cujo sent them into the past.

Boomer turned to Mac, “At least this time, Almonzo Slater was facing me.”

“I really hate to tell you this,” Mac replied, “But he turned away just as you pulled the trigger—I was preparing to shoot and had him in my sights as well. I saw the round hit.”

“Kiwi is ALIVE—that’s what really matters.”

“You’re right, Mac. That is what matters. And too, I got to meet my great-grandfather—even though he was never really there. And you got to meet yours.”

“There is one difference—Karl McIntyre remained marshal of Moosehead City for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1900.”

“I expect we’ll work with him again.”

“No doubt.”

“I’m tired, I think Daisy and I will go home,” Boomer turned to Linda, “Are you ready?”

“More than ready,” Linda replied, “Ummm—could we stop at Farkleberry’s on the way? I think I’d like to get a car.”

MEANWHILE—At PawZ… Dr. James Red Cloud and Mandy returned from their woodcraft practice—both quite happy—and soaking-wet, “Honestly—you two!”

“But Mom! I found the hidden treasure—with the help of the beagles!”

“And ME—don’t forget about me!” Sunshine huffed.

James Red Cloud and Mandy returned

“And ME—don’t forget about me!” Sunshine huffed.

“Yes, you too, Sunshine,” Jimmy Red Cloud smiled at the precocious-pup.”

“Jimmy,” Sandra smiled, “We need to talk.”

To be continued…
