Back to the past BannerPreviously: “I DO know! There are—for the horses,” Boomer replied, “You may feel free to sleep with them—if they’ll have you—dontcha know?”

“One believes you, one’s old bean, aaare mocking myself. Goodness me!”

“One believes correctly,” Boomer grinned.

This silenced Paul, 24th Earl of Harriott—for the moment, at least.

“Sarah, I learned something,” Chris’s face betrayed concern, “I spoke with Deputy McIntyre—they didn’t find the bodies of Edward and Miles Slater!”

“They escaped?” Sarah’s surprise—complete.

“But—how?” Linda asked, “How is that possible?”

Season 12—Adventure 1—Episode 6…as the Adventure Train rushed along the lake…  “I haven’t a clue—the amount of fire we subjected them to—no one could have survived,” Chris replied, “But Karl thinks they may be headed west—perhaps to Fort Justice.”

Merle and Mac overheard their discussion—and Big Mac suggested, “They’re travelling by horse, so we’ll get there long before they do. Do you suppose Cujo has revealed herself to Lt. Col. Cooper?”

“I guess I did,” Jay Cooper admitted, “I was just so pleased at meeting my ancestor…”

“Cujo could have undone that,” Sarah smiled, “Obviously, she thought he could handle that truth.”

“Now we know,” Chris said, “Before I forget—there’s going to be a double wedding—shortly after we get back!”

“How could you forget that?” Sarah thought she just might know who—but, “Okay, dish!”

As it turned out Mandy was really not that surprised—she noticed before her mom and Jimmy left for dinner with Liam and Gypsy that Jimmy seemed very nervous.

Her eyes got big and wide when Jimmy got down on one knee and asked for Sandra to marry him and for Mandy to allow him to be part of her world.

She was even more excited when Jimmy showed her the ring her had made for her. She insisted on wearing it on her left hand just like her mother and said she would only remove it when the right person put another ring on her finger.

A few days later Liam and Gypsy came to Pawz to pick out their puppy. They looked them over very close but one pup would not leave Gypsy be.

He kept climbing up in her arms and licking her face.

Liam smiled, “Looks like you got picked.”

Gypsy was really quite taken with him, “I guess our choice is made.”

“I heard you two got engaged! Congratulations!”

Jimmy smiled at Sandra, “Yes, we got engaged on the way back from your place I stopped at the lake.”

“WOW that is where we got engaged too.

“I have an idea!” Gypsy said, “If we all agree. why don’t we have a double wedding at the lake in the evening to give everyone the chance to attend.”

“I would love it if the boys are in agreement,” Sandra replied.

Liam and Jimmy nodded their agreement.

“Let’s have lunch next week Sandra, and start the planning,” Gypsy suggested,  “That will give us time to check our schedules see when we can be off work.  Pick a couple dates and we will match with each other. If you come out to the casino they have some good food there.”

“Great how is Wednesday?”

Liam, Gypsy and their puppy (who they named Puddles) left, happy with the decisions they had made that day.

Meanwhile—In a small town on the way to Dakota Territory…

Paulo and Arturo Moralas were not up early—they were still up after closing the only saloon in this town—and looking for trouble.

Y’see, GENTLE READER, the Moralas brothers fancied themselves banditos—and had some small successes. Small successes.

They also fancied themselves as gunfighters and while both were quicker than average—they were most effective as back-shooters.

As it happened, the Slater brothers and their remaining gang picked now to enter the town of Flyspeck—the selfsame town as where the brothers were looking for trouble, “Hey Paulo—gringos!”

In a small town on the way to Dakota Territory

“Hey Paulo—gringos!”

“Si,” Paulo replied, “You think we should kill them?”

Meanwhile—In Danger Bay… “We must catch-up to the train,” James Silverthorn had heard that the Adventure Train was departing Moosehead City, “Where’s Cujo when we need her?”

We must catch-up to the train

“Where’s Cujo when we need her?”

“Right here, Kuckunniwi,” Cujo replied, The train will stop atop the bluff to add a car—that car is for you and your braves. You will be needed. It will arrive in ten minutes—ride like the wind.”

To be continued…
