Without warning

Siege of Fort Justice Banner Previously: “I can tell you the when—tomorrow morning,” Cujo replied, “As to the where—events occurring in 1873 will determine that. Lacy Dalton has proved to be too unpredictable, AND her grandmother, Christine Dalton—even more so than Lacy, make it nearly impossible to determine.”

“Why not place us back at Fort Justice?” Chris asked, “They must show-up there.”

“Christine is why. She might be able to bring a hundred or so more expert gunslingers—and along the way—kill some folks who must survive. And too, for some reason—a reason I can’t determine—I’m unable to see all the possible 19th Century futures.”

Season 12—Adventure 3—Siege of Fort Justice—Episode 10… Our heroes continued to “party” through the night—why not? As is always the case when they time-travel—they’re always quite rested and alert when they arrive at their destination.

Both Ralph and Paul demonstrated their prowess as gunfighters (with an assist from Cujo—who provided them with their 19th Century guns & holsters). They were now on-par with their fellows—a tic faster than some—a tic slower than others. Quite impressive, actually.

To put this into proper perspective—both Chris & Linda’s respective jaws dropped at the fellows’ speed and accuracy with their side arms.

Our heroes adjourned to the outdoor patio

Chris & Linda’s respective jaws dropped at the fellows’ speed and accuracy with their side arms.

SUDDENLY—and quite without warning… Our heroes found themselves just two miles outside of Buzzard’s Gulch, “Didn’t Cujo say something about Christine Dalton “…She might be able to bring a hundred or so more expert gunslingers…’?”

Linda, shuddering, glanced at Paul, “Yes, she did.”

Just outside of Buzzard’s Gulch Linda, shuddering, glanced at Paul, “Yes, she did.”

“You know, gang,” Boomer observed, “We don’t HAVE to be peace officers—we’d make some pretty awesome outlaws.”

“And I, as the senior member of Halvorson Gang,” Ralph grinned, “I shall lead us into Buzzard’s Gulch. Cujo? I know you’re observing—we require some bags of stolen loot.”

Obviously, Cujo heard Ralph’s request as bags stolen loot appeared on the pack horses—quite cartoonish looking—but they would suffice.

No one challenged Ralph’s taking command, he had quickly become, along with Paul, an equal partner with all else in this band of time-travelers—that’s how we roll, GENTLE READER!

MEANWHILE—At the Colorado-Utah border… Lacy and her men reached the border where Arturo and the rest of the men waited Lacy noticed there were more men and a tent. Lacy pulled her gun as did Edward, Miles and Paulo. Entering the camp with caution.

Arturo saw the group and with a big smile said, “No need for the guns, we have guests and a surprise for Senorita Lacy.”

Just then the tent opened and out stepped a women with a big smile on her face. White hair and a twinkle in her eye (don’t let that twinkle fool you).

To be Continued…
