High Noon

Saskatchewan BannerPreviously: Introductions were made, and all were impressed by this 75-year-old ex-Mountie—extremely fit and energetic for a man half his age. They could also see the strong affection Christine showed for this gentleman—all approved.

For her part, Lacy was very happy for her grandmother—but far less happy with the admonishment that she should settle on only ONE of her suitors.

She liked her situation—playing with the affections of several fine male specimens.

But it also caused problems—every now and then it would result in fights between her suitors—and could cost the gang the life of a perfectly good member.

Lacy had a lot to think about.

Season 12—Adventure 6—Saskatchewan! Episode 7… She decided to head south to the curiously named town of Dalton—things were going well at the Pub, the Blackjack tables were showing a growing profit—besides Gramma seems to think she should settle-down and pick one man—ONE MAN to keep her satisfied for the rest of her life, “Gramma, do you mind if I take a week off?”

“Of course not, Lacy,” Christine replied, “Take all the time you need. When you get back, I just might think about escaping for a while myself. This ‘honest’ work can get a bit boring.”

“Thanks, Gramma, I’ll be leaving in an hour.”

Soon she was on the road and lost in thought, “Which one? Miles Slater? Edward Slater? Paulo Morales? Arturo Morales? Or no one?”

Lacy on the road to Dalton Many hours later—Lacy arrived in Dalton… and got herself settled in her “Dalton Headquarters,” a rented cabin.

It was almost high noon when a shouting match alerted Lacy that something was wrong. Running outside she saw Edward and Arturo positioned to have a gunfight.

“She is mine, “Edward snarled, “And with you out-of-the-way I will not share her with anyone.”

Gone was the companion pledge they had made to each other. The pledge that they would always step aside if Lacy chose one or the other.

For over a year Lacy had not picked and had continued to have her pleasure with the two cowboys.

Sometimes she kept each one with her for a week or so and then switched.

The strain on Edward and Arturo’s friendship had finally reached a boiling point.

They were in the gunfighter stance, hands positioned on their guns.

The air was alive with electricity and male hormones. Death would wait 10 seconds more.

Lacy, not thinking in this emotional state ran to try to stand between them to stop this madness.

Shots were fired and both men stared in horror as Lacy crumbled to the ground.
