“Wisconsin passage it is”

“ANDREW!” Boomer exclaimed, “A new job?”

“An additional job—I’m not busy enough as airfield administrator,” he replied, “I just fill-in for the Farkleberrys until one of Lar’s grandsons, Medlar Almonzo, finishes his final term at Moosehead Community College next month.”

“Have you seen anything unusual around town—or been approached by anyone to change auto supplier?”

“Not so far…”

Lakeview City Story—In Search Of—Episode 2… “Park your truck inside,” AJ suggested, “And we can observe from inside for a while—I have FRESH coffee and for later some vintage wine for Linda.”

“WAIT!” Boomer exclaimed, “No ALE?”

AJ laughed, “That’s a given!”

“Hey, look,” Linda had been observing traffic on Main Street, “That car has passed by three times.”

“Andrew, can you get the info on who leased the cars?”

“Yeah, right after I get the wine and ale.”

“You do have the right priorities!” Linda laughed.

“Oh, and do you have a nondescript car we can use?” Boomer asked, “My truck is not exactly suited for undercover work.”

“Yep—a 1964 Buick Electra 225,” AJ grinned, “You’re favorite kind of boat—er battleship!”

“Gee—thanks,” Boomer grimaced, and implied the car was more battleship, than automobile, added, “USS Missouri—at our service.”

A short time later AJ returned, bringing the requested refreshments, and shortly thereafter parked the battleship-Buick outside, “You’ll need a place to stay, as well. There’s a cabin available up on Bluff Road, I called Cam Farkleberry about it, and she told me to give you the door combo.”

“You do real estate, too?” Linda asked.

“Yep. Both Medlar Almonzo and I are licensed rental-agents,” AJ replied, “That saves Cam a lot of time.”

“Wonderful,” Boomer replied, “One last request—where can we find the Lakeview City Marshal?”

MEANWHILE—In the Duluth-Superior Harbor… Autoworld Transit 2 was preparing to depart with a load of cars destined for Chicago, “Helm, set a course for the Wisconsin passage onto the lake.”
