“A grand day for traveling.”

“I’m Captain Durban, Frank Durban. I’m just wondering why Danger Bay?”

“It’s the closest port that can handle a boat this size—Grand Marais cannot, and we went a long way off-course to get our helicopter in range.”

“We were on a rescue training mission when we received your distress call,” Master Chief “Cob” Pettigrew added, “And the Martin needs to return to port to prepare for a large tour group scheduled for tomorrow—it will take overnight to reconfigure this boat for the tour.”

“Understood,” Durban replied, “Thanks for saving my crew—we owe you.”

“I’ll have a steward show you to your quarters, Captain,” Molly smiled, “And show you the dining room—your meals aboard will be with my compliments.”

“This will be your stateroom Captain,” Missy Kelm had been assigned to escort Durban, “I hope it is suitable.”

“Thank you steward. Compared with my quarters, this is a penthouse apartment.”

MEANWHILE—the weekend had arrived—and our heroes…

…found themselves—somewhere in the 19th Century.

Season 13—Adventure 2—Pioneer Moosehead County—Episode 1… We find our hero’s divided into two groups—the first group (or gaggle) includes Enapay Chatan (Brave Hawk) Samuel Silverthorn, Ralph Halvorson, Linda Bryant Halvorson, Chris Shouse and Wyatt Earp IV riding the road to Moosehead City.

“Your grasp of the obvious boggles the mind, Chris.”

“It’s a cross I must bear, Linda,” Chris smiled, “I wonder where—or if the rest of the time-travelers are here as well.”

“My brother Little Wolf is expecting time travelers,” Samuel Silverthorn replied, “At our trading post.”

Satisfied—yet full of unexpressed questions—rode quietly for some miles before their attention was grabbed by a near hysterical Flutters, “HALP! There’s a monster crow chasing me!”

“I see no crow, Flutters,” Ralph replied, “But I see a man on the road up ahead.”

Chris thought she recognized the man, because her family research had revealed a story of a man who rode a black Pegasus. The man—according to family legend—dallied with Lacy Dalton. Or at least attempted to, “Watch out with this guy—he is reputed to be a ‘changeling’ able to change into a very large crow. He sometimes rides a Pegasus.”

“He appears to be on foot at the moment,” Linda observed, “Keep your eyes open.”

“Hello travelers,” greeted the man dressed in grey, “A grand day for traveling.”

“And for walking, apparently,” Ralph replied.

“And better for hold-ups,” The fellow grinned as he drew his guns, “Don’t even think about reaching for your guns.”
