“We need to keep Boomer out of sight, right?”

“That’s right,” Medford added, “We think Aleev, Bambi and Gina, will be returning now that we let it be known the we have closed the case on Boomer’s ‘murder,’ and will return to the area.”

“In fact, we think may already be back,” Jay Merton said, “The old Bar & Grille has been purchased and is being rehabbed. The purchase was made by a man and two women.”

“And we want them to get very comfortable and feeling safe, before we strike,” Boomer grinned, “And I show up to arrest them.”

“Good thinking, Alpha-Jack,” Cujo arfed, “We want to be there when you arrest them.”

Season 13—Adventure 4—Cyber Café—Episode 4—Scene 1… At the Cyber Café… It was Bee (Beatrice) Merton’s turn for counter duty as Bernie Ambrose was scheduled to teach a creative writing seminar at Moosehead College today.

The CodgerWives™ both active and engaged women who simply had no interest in hanging-out at the café as much as their husbands, “Good morning Johnsons and friends; coffee’s freshly brewed.”

“G’mornin’ Bee,” Bear replied, “The ‘usual’ for Buck and I, please. Allow me to introduce the folks rehabbing the old Bar & Grille; Alan and Barb Smith and Geraldine Clark.”

“Pleased to meet you,” Bee grinned, “Would you like menus?”

“Please, and three regular coffees, black,” Barb replied, “We’re waiting for the appraiser to inspect our work.”

As luck would have it, Ralph Halvorson and Linda Bryant Halvorson came up from the lower level, “Ralph? Are you doing an appraisal?”

“I am, Bee,” Ralph replied, “Just up the street. I’m supposed to meet Trigg there in ten minutes.”

“A happy coincidence,” Alan said, “We’re the ones doing the rehab. I have a key for you.”

“Wonderful,” Ralph smiled, “Linda and I can get an early start and have most of the inspection done before Trigg arrives; and you may enjoy your breakfast.”

Episode 4—Scene 2… Downstairs at the Cyber Café… The Codgers™ were all present; and watching the CCTV, “I LOVE it when a plan comes together!”

“You’re dead-on right, Mac,” Jay agreed, “Ralph is ready; Trigg is ready; unless something is terribly wrong, their application will be approved.”

“I’ve been thinking,” Harold said, “We need to keep Boomer out of sight, right? How about sending him, along with Sarah Cooper and Chris Shouse and their dog-people down to Superior?”

“To do what?”

“Mac, friends of mine in Duluth tell me our subjects sold the warehouse.”

“Yes, I know.”

“But, they didn’t own the place; they leased it. I’m told they ‘sold’ it to a Chicago cartel. What do you think they will do when they figure that out?”

“I get your point,” Mac replied, “We’d better add Jay Cooper, and perhaps, Linda into the mix; we’ll need their guns. And I wouldn’t miss this assignment for any money.”
