“Sure—why not?”

Every Day Danger Bay Banner ©Jack BoardmanPreviously: “Show-offs!” Wyatt exclaimed as four fighters—three P51 Mustangs and one P38 Lightning thundered-by, “Ralph Halvorson must have known they had an audience here!”

“An audience who appreciates the show,” Jimmy Silverthorn replied, “What I wouldn’t give for a ride in one of those airplanes.”

“You know Ralph—ask him when you get the chance—he’d be glad to scare the living daylights out of you.”

“Have you been?”

“My girlfriend is a pilot—so yes I have. She flies a P38 Lightning pathfinder. It can take three passengers.”

“Perhaps I should ask her.”

“Be careful what you wish for.”

Season 13—Adventure 8—Every Day Danger Bay—Episode 5—Scene 1… Flying high over Lake Superior… Jay & Boomer searched Sector 1 thoroughly—flying low and slow through every geological jigger-jog (<~~~technical term) in the shoreline.

They found nothing.

Ralph & Linda searched Sector 2, also thoroughly—also flying low and slow through every geological jigger-jog in that shoreline. Their sector had far more geological jigger-jogs than Sector 1; Linda was certain her cousin Boomer knew this beforehand—but since Ralph was the mission boss, she had to wonder if the two of them…

“I’ve got something!” Ralph’s exclamation interrupted her line-of-thought, “Follow me!”

After finding nothing, Linda suggested, “Maybe we should split-up and each take a different jigger-jog.”

“Let’s do it,” Ralph agreed, “I’ll take the next JJ over.”

Fifteen minutes later, “I found them! The boat is overturned with two men standing on the hull.”

Ralph immediately called the coordinates in to the Sparrow.

Every Day Danger Bay—Episode 5—Scene 2… Captain Halloran ordered the helicopter to deploy and both Debra and Joey asked to go with them, “Sure—why not?”

Fifteen minutes later they arrived at the overturned boat and the pilot set the ‘copter down next to it.

The Coast Guard—with help from Captains Wennen-Miller & Jerkowitz assisted the two boat crewmen into the helicopter. It was Debra who noticed several small plastic bags tossed up on the boat’s hull, “Joey! See if the coastguard has any baggies…”

“…And handcuffs?” Joey picked-up on the fact that the propwash kicked-up a lot of rather—suspicious little bags. He turned to a guardsman, “You guys have handcuffs and evidence bags aboard?”

“Of course.”

“You’d best apply the cuffs to your guests—and give us the baggie, and tweezers.”

“Don’t take off yet” ©Jack Boardman“You’d best apply the cuffs to your guests…”

The guardsman looked at the little bags scattered on the hull, “Very interesting.”

The pilot, who had been observing the activity shut-down the ‘copter’s engine to prevent the bags from blowing away while the two crewman cuffed the two rescued men, “From a rescue to an arrest, gentlemen.”

After some five hours, with help from the Coast Guard, Joey & Debra recovered over two-hundred bags of cocaine.

All this—and no body-bags required!
