Season 14—Adventure 1—Arrival—Episode 3—Scene 1… After getting settled in her new home—Lacy and Chris returned to the warehouse to check-out the entire facility which included large warehouses with long docks designed for semis, and two smaller replica warehouses.
Charlie had told Lacy they were looking for more replica warehouses to add to the complex—business was that good.
Lacy and Chris returned to the warehouse
“That’s a mighty tall desk—as opposed to that chair.”
“I prefer to stand when I’m stuck in an office,” Lacy replied, “The first thing I did after accepting the job offer was to order a custom desk. I plan on being out learning the lay of the land—at least for the next few days before settling-in in this office.”
“I can’t blame you for that. When on duty as a deputy sheriff, I prefer patrol to desk duty.”
Arrival—Episode 3—Scene 2… At Joey’s place near Danger Bay… “Where’s your truck?”
“Where’s your truck?”
“At Farkleberry’s,” Joey replied, “Getting ‘modernized,’ for better power and fuel-efficiency.”
“My old ’49 came with all the modern bells & whistles—Medlar Farkleberry likes me best!”
“No doubt,” Joey snorted, “There’s a lot of that going around.”
“Of THAT—I am certain. Besides that biggass monster Tee-Vee machine, what amenities have you here?”
“All of them,” Joey replied, “There’s even a stream on the other side of the woods, with plenty of trout.”
“You’ve been fishing—already?”
“I have—a guy’s gotta eat.”
“You HAD to bring that up!”
“Yup,” Debra laughed, “C’mon, I’ll give you a tour of MY new place.”
Arrival—Episode 3—Scene 3… At Debra’s place near Danger Bay… After a drive of ten miles south on Moosehead County Road 65, the two arrived at Debra’s place, “LOOK at that fireplace, will you?”
At Debra’s place
“Jealous?” Debra asked.
“Do you have to ask?”
“No,” Debra replied, “But, I wanted to rub it in—just a little.”
“I see you have a full gourmet kitchen back there,” Joey grinned, “Identical to mine. You also have that same trout-filled stream running 100 yards beyond that old barn.”
“How do you know this?”
“Look at the copyright watermark at the bottom left of this image.”
She did—and there it was: “©J Boardman & J Jerkowitz”
“YOU supplied the background photo!”
Yes—GENTLE READER—he did!
