“You have an ego?”

Arrival Banner ©Jack BoardmanSeason 14—Adventure 1—Arrival—Episode 4—Scene 1… Outside Debra’s Place… Wondering what EXACTLY where the “Adventure” comes into play—after all, thus far, this “Adventure” has had no normal adventure about it, Joey and Debra decided to visit Silverthorn’s Café in Downtown Danger Bay—that’s where they can find out the latest gossip!

“I’m with you, Debra.”

In a cloud of dust—and hearty “Hi-Yo Silver” they were off to Silverthorn’s!

On their way to town, they passed by the Cabin-on-the-Rock, home of Big Mac—and didn’t see it. No one who isn’t officially part of the time-travelers clique can see the entrance.

As they are now part of the time-travelers clique—they’ll soon be invited to visit. Unfortunately—or maybe fortunately—I lost the old images of the Cabin-on-the-Rock.

In any case they didn’t see it.

But when they—and you, GENTLE READERthey, and you, should like it. Smaller—but still over 2000 square feet—it hasn’t the many apartments of the previous iteration.

They didn’t see driveway into the Cabin-on-the-Rock, the mailbox next to the driveway into the Cabin-on-the-Rock.

Not to mention the lovely field stone cabin exterior.

And—of course—the huge great-room.

Finally—they didn’t see the spectacular view from the deck.

Episode 4—Scene 2… Outside Silverthorn’s Café… Debra and Joey arrived at Silverthorn’s Café, parked their bikes and paused before going inside, “It’s awfully quiet for this time of day—nobody’s out.”

Debra glanced inside, “Hiram is the only one inside—we may as well see what he has to say about our lack of any spine-tingling, fear-inducing, hair-raising adventures thus far.”

“I wonder,” Joey thought out loud, “If maybe, we’re just too boring to have an adventure.”

“You didn’t think our experience in the past was an adventure?”

“Sure,” he replied, “For the girls—yes. My masculine ego was crushed.”

“You have an ego?”
