Joey and Debra, after hours of flight—found nothing

Sheriffs Banner ©Jack BoardmanSeason 14—Adventure 3—Sheriffs—Episode 3—Scene 1… Outside the Blue Swallow Motel… The first couple (of several making their way into Moosehead County) arrived at the Blue Swallow Motel and checked-in after having driven through Moosehead County on the expressway rather than Historic US 61—thus allowing them to bypass all the towns in the county. They’d arrived from the south—specifically from Grand Marais, where they’d spent the night at a Best Western.

Episode 3—Scene 2… Karen’s Kozy Cabins Lobby… James & Henrietta Smith of Grand Rapids, Michigan arrived and checked-in. Like the others, they were very experienced—and very good at their job—killing people.

They no more than got settled when Susie and Samuel Jones checked-in. The two couples, who knew each other, would have no contact with one-another at the motel.

Episode 3—Scene 3… At the Blue Swallow Motel Office… Two more couples checked-in.

James “Tex” Johnson and his wife, Amelia, complete with the obligatory cowboy hats were at the desk, and Andrew and Alice Anderson were enjoying a cup each of fine complimentary house coffee.

And again, the two couples, who knew each other, would have no contact with one-another at the motel.

The plan was—all these hired-guns would meet at the various cafés and bars around Moosehead County—accidently, of course, and make like tourists who just happen to keep running into one-another.

Then later, they would meet at various outdoor places where they could privately discuss their takeover-of-Moosehead-County-strategies.

Episode 3—Scene 4… At the Danger Bay Airfield… With their respective preflight checks completed, Joey, Debra, and Lacey took-off in their big Sikorsky ‘copters. They split up and headed for their assigned search areas—each equipped with “look-down” radars identical to the one installed on Mac’s Night Lightning.
