Season 14—Adventure 4—Gangsters—Episode 1—In Silverthorn’s Café… His name is now William McGinty—he used to be Sylvester Farenholt—but when he saw his operation in Cook County about to be destroyed, he dramatically changed his appearance and slipped into Moosehead County.

He already had operatives in place. Skilled operatives who had successfully established themselves as tourists with never more than two couples being together at any one venue.

His first accidental meeting was with Abigail Anders, Sam & Susie Jones, and Thomas & Rand Paulos—who just happened to be at Silverthorn’s Café-Downtown Danger Bay.

Convenient, ehGENTLE READER?

McGinty was immediately quite taken by Ms. Anders—it must have been the bright, red, lipstick she was wearing.

“My name is William McGinty,” He said quietly—to not be overheard, “You were originally hired by Mr. Farenholt—but since he has passed-on, I’m in charge of this operation.”

“May I assume you helped him pass-on?” Rand Paulos asked—smiling.

McGinty laughed, “In a manner of speaking—yes.”

“What’s the plan, Mr. McGinty?”

“I want you to let it be known that you are relocating here in Moosehead County from your assigned points of origin—as you know, you already have complete backgrounds. I assume you’ve all memorized them—right?”

“Yes,” Rand Paulos replied—accompanied by affirmative nods by the others, “We’ve all made our fortunes and have decided to retire here—to live the good-life in Moosehead County.”

“Very well, then. Start making appointments with Camille Farkleberry at Moosehead Real Estate—right next door—to look at properties to purchase or rent. I don’t have to tell you to not go all at once, I hope.”

They acted all insulted and stuff—they were, after all professionals.

“Okay, that’s all for now. I have to go next door and make my own housing arrangements.”

Everyone left except Abigail Anders, “I couldn’t help noticing how you were looking at me.”
