“We got GUNS this time—right?” Joey cracked-wise.

Season 14—Adventure 4—Gangsters—Episode 7—Scene 1… Outside Silverthorn’s Café… Boomer, Sarah & Jay paused outside of Silverthorn’s Café long enough to ensure McGinty & Anders had a good look at “Strider,” before Boomer drove away.

Instead of leaving, Sarah and Jay went back into the café to delay the departure of their new friends long enough to prevent them from following.

Unfortunately, they had already called their operatives with a description of Boomer’s car, “They were on the phone as you went outside.”

“Thanks, Hiram,” Jay whispered, “We got this.”

“Hey folks,” Sarah called-out, “If you wish, we can give you information on where you can get married.”

McGinty & Anders were smart enough not to tip their hand, Anders replied, “That would be wonderful.”

“Reverend Thomas Guudlender has an all or no faith chapel nearby where you can get married—including the license,” Sarah explained, “Hiram has his business cards.”

“Thank you very much,” Anders said as she got the card from Hiram, “We must be off, we have an apartment to look at.”

Moments after they were out the door, Sarah alerted the “Posse.”

The “Posse” immediately went into action.

Sarah dropped Jay off at the airfield, and contacted Debra—who with her combat team were headed there already. By the time they arrived—Jay was already airborne in his Mustang.

Episode 7—Scene 2… Danger Bay Airfield… Debra’s team took to the air with orders to fly out over the lake and meet-up with Jay Cooper.

Cooper was 20 miles out over Lake Superior at the rendezvous place. They would circle until needed—the long-range Mustangs could, if necessary, circle for many, boring, hours.

“We got GUNS this time—right?” Joey cracked-wise.

“Yes, Joey, that’s right,” Debra sighed.

“Should we check to see if they’re loaded—loaded with live ammunition?”

An exasperated Debra replied, “Why don’t you climb out on the wing of your airplane and make sure. I checked mine while we were on the ground.”

Joey simply laughed—Debra would exact payback later—maybe assign Joey to airplane cleaning operations…”

Episode 7—Scene 3… Moosehead CR 65… Sheriff Boomer should have noticed the old Chevy heading towards him—they again—why would he? There are an awful lot of old cars in the county—right?
