Season 14—Adventure 5—Northtown—Episode 8—Scene 1… McGinty & Anders hotel room… “We have as many as 30 experienced shootists coming,” McGinty said, “The first bunch should arrive today. Have you made arrangements with the hotel and rooming house?”
“Yes, and since they can’t accommodate all the men we’re expecting, I rented a half-dozen wall-tents.”
“First come, first served,” McGinty grinned, “I’ll hang-out at the saloon starting in an hour or two.”
“Of course, you will, dear,” Anders quipped, “You hang-out there every day.”
There was a knock at the door.

McGinty opened the door, “There’s a message for Mr. McGinty at the telegraph office.”
“You didn’t bring it?”
“No sir, it’s for your eyes only.”
“Thank you, young fellow, here’s a tip,” McGinty replied, “I’ll be back in a few minutes, Abigail.”
A few minutes later he returned—his face ashen, “Hickok, Jacks and Canary are on their way here!”
“Get to the saloon—there may be some gunfighters there already.”
McGinty found five at the saloon and hired them on the spot.
“You fellas know what to do?”
“No problem, Mr. McGinty.”
“You’re sure? You’ll be facing Wyatt Earp and Calamity Jane Canary.”
“That’s a problem,” the leader replied, “We’ll set-up an ambush.”
“You’d better set-up a good one.”
“Oh—we will.”
They headed immediately for Northtown.
Episode 8—Scene 2… Northtown Town Marshal’s Office… 15 minutes earlier… “Hello, Wyatt,” Jimmy Hickok greeted his friend, “I’m happy to see you—but, why are you here?”
“Cujo sent me to relieve you, Ace and Jane—you need to head for Southtown,” Wyatt replied, “I’ve been assigned to protect our witnesses. Where would they be, any idea?”
Jimmy checked his watch, “At the saloon.”
“At the saloon.”
“I reckon I’ll take a little walk,” Wyatt replied, “You three take care on the road—they just might have folks already on the way.”
Episode 8—Scene 3… Northtown Saloon… Wyatt walked in the saloon followed moment later by four gunslingers, “You fellas come with me, and check your guns at my office—you’ll get them back when you leave town.”
“We ain’t givin’ up our guns!” The leader asserted.
“We ain’t givin’ up our guns!”
