“But mother—what of the Elders?”

“And how are my descendants?”

“Prospering—as always,” Boomer replied, “And very happy.”

“We had visitors, and I fear they bring trouble,” Samuel had become serious, “I fear there is a storm coming.”

“That is why we are here.”

“You are but one,” Samuel replied, and turned towards James, “You must assemble our riders, and prepare for battle.”

Season 14—Adventure 6—PIONEER DANGER BAY—Episode 3—Scene 1… at Silverthorn’s store… The door burst open—accompanied by deep rumbling voice, “Y’all looking for some hired help?”

MAC!” Boomer exclaimed, “You sure-nuff are a welcome addition to our just now forming Danger Bay Militia!”

“How big is this militia—and what are we facing?”

Big Mac arrived at Silverthorn’s Store ©Jack Boardman“MAC!”

“Including me—six,” James Silverthorn replied, “We don’t know for sure how many oppose us.”

“You know that Historic Railroad station and town near your place—that’s where they are building-up their gang. And a bunch of gunslingers rode towards Moosehead City.”

“Sarah, Chris and their company of bad asses are headed there, according to Cujo,” Mac replied, “Even with Hickok and Earp, they’ll have their hands full.”

“Ride with me,” James said, “We’ll meet my mother’s riders there and then approach the Bluff Station and village from the track side—they likely won’t expect us from that direction.”

Episode 3—Scene 2… Eagle Point Reservation Store… “Hello Mother,” James greeted as the entered the store, “Father has directed me to assemble the riders.”

James and the others arrived at the reservation store ©Jack Boardman“Father has directed me to assemble the riders.”

“I am not surprised, my son—I will send Chaska-Kohana (Eldest Son-Swift) to bring them here,” Anpaytoo-Takchawee (Radiant-Dove) more commonly known as Ani, replied, and then turned to Boomer & Mac, “It is wonderful to see you two again.”

“And to see you, Ani,” Mac grinned, “I wish it were under better circumstances.”

“Kuckunniwi (Little Wolf)?” Ani smiled, “It is time to pass the lance of war chief to you—it is your time.”

“But mother—what of the Elders?”

“They decided I was too old to continue as war chief—at my insistence—and voted in favor of you to replace me. Do you accept?”

“I am honored.”

To be—CONTINUED…
