“That’s the problem—they do not.”

“Shouldn’t your husband join us?” Carstairs asked.

“He’s getting supplies,” Collie replied, “For dinner. If he gets back before we’re done, he’ll join us.”

“Ain’t you a-feared, little lady?” Hank Carlson asked, “All alone and all?”

“Sonny?” she replied with a touch of sarcasm, “It is you who should be ‘a-feared,’ I got y’all outnumbered—so shut-up—or leave.”

Season 14—Adventure 7—COLLISTA—Episode 5—Scene 1… Inside the McIntyre cabin… “Yes Ma’am!”

“Why is that dog guarding you?” Rufe asked after noticing Daisy always standing between her and her guests.

“You try anything she doesn’t like—she’ll remove your manhood,” Collie grinned wickedly, “Ah—the boys are back.”

Mac had to duck to get through the door, Boomer did not, “We have guests?”

“Yes—do you have a problem with that?” Collie asked in a way that cued both Mac & Boomer immediately on how to proceed.

“Of course not, m’dear,” Mac replied meekly—thus confirming to Carstairs and company who was in charge.

“Very well, Mr. Carstairs, tell us the business you have in mind.”

“How do you folks get along with the Silverthorn family?”

By the tone of Carstairs’ voice, Collie knew immediately where her guests stood on the Silverthorns, “Not at all. They and the Farkleberrys run the town. Most folks seem to like them—but those families are preventing the town to grow.”

“How so?”

“They claim all the land belongs to the Ojibwe Nation, the only thing settlers can own are the buildings, and they must pay rent to the tribe.”

Daisy had heard enough and looked at Boomer, “You need to go outside?”

Daisy barked.

As soon as she was outside the cabin, she ran to Silverthorn’s store.

Scene 2… Inside Silverthorn’s Store… Daisy found both Samuel and James Silverthorn in the store, “Carstairs and his bunch are BACK!” she exclaimed, They’re at Collie and Big Mac’s cabin—they are acting as though they will join them.”

“Ah—thank you Akecheta-Apenimon (Fighter-Worthy of Trust),” Samuel replied, “My son, it is once again time to assemble your riders.”

“Do you know their plans?” James asked.

“To kill all of your family!”

“We must draw them away from Danger Bay—and back to Blufftown,” James said, “You must tell them you saw us ride in that direction.”

“I will do that, James—somehow.”

“Do they know you are sentient?”

“That’s the problem—they do not.”

“We better assemble our riders” ©Jack Boardman“That’s the problem—they do not.”

“Then I will send Chaska-Kohana to my riders and have them ride past the cabin,” James decided, “To get the interest of those outside the cabin.”

“That should work.” Daisy replied, “I must return to the cabin now.”
