“Do I really want to knock on this door?”

Sheriff Banner ©Jack BoardmanPREVIOUSLY: “His name begins with the letter ‘J,’ and ends with the letter ‘Z,’ if that gives you a clue.”

“JOEY!” She exclaimed, and then noticed the name, ‘Ms Sapphire’ on the door, “Who?”

 “A REAL WORLD #FacebookFriend.”

“Boomer!” She laughed, “I should have guessed.”

“Check-out the box—it has a pull-out ramp for your bike, along with straps to hold it in place.”

“Now—go look at the rear seat—custom fitted with special dog-friendly restraints for your precious cargo.”

“Okay—I love the truck—how much?”

Farkleberry told her the price.

“Is that all?”

“I can double the price—if you wish.”

Season 14—Adventure 8—Sheriff—Episode 8—Scene 1… Moosehead County College… “No, please, I’ll pay your— EXORBITANT price,” Debra laughed, “Thank you. I have an appointment at Moosehead County College to review their job offer with the chancellor, Sara White-Deer, PhD.”

“Sara is good people—tough, but very-good, best of luck to you.”

It took Debra about ten minutes to get to the college—and another fifteen minutes to find Chancellor White-Deer’s office.

She paused outside the office, “Do I really want to knock on this door?”

With a heavy sigh—she knocked on the door.

Episode 8—Scene 2… Inside the office of Chancellor White-Deer…

“Ah—Professor Miller I presume?”

“Not in real life—I’m a teacher,” Debra replied, “I’m beginning to think this is a mistake…”

“Don’t jump to any conclusions—just yet,” White Deer laughed, “We have no one even remotely knowledgeable in that discipline.”

“My knowledge has been gained in part by education; and in a larger part—experience.”

“More than we have here—aside from Samuel Silverthorn who teaches both grade & high school—he has a Masters in primary education,” She replied, “I suggest you two get together soon, as he is a whiz with kids. Don’t sell your experience short.”

“That would be helpful. But still…”

“Oh—you MUST accept the position. You will have a lot of support among our teachers.”

“It sounds like you won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”

“You are correct.”
