PREVIOUSLY: Boomer surprised both as he came through the door—but was equally surprised at finding them aboard, “What? How?”
“We’ll show you later,” Kiwi replied, “Let’s just say that Cujo helped.”
“Why does this not surprise me? Don’t tell me—a hidden cabin where the under-hull water should be?”
“Maybeee,” Mac replied, “As for now—would you like some help in the wheelhouse?”
“Go! AJ will get you acquainted with the controls.”
Season 15—Adventure 1—LOST—Episode 2—Scene 1… MV Pegasus II Wheelhouse… “MAC!” AJ exclaimed, “How…”
“Cujo, we think, but don’t know for certain,” Mac replied, “Want some relief?”
“Yes, but I’d rather know where we are.”
“It isn’t working,” AJ replied, “I haven’t a clue where we are—and haven’t had a clue for the past several hours. At least now I can see a shoreline off to port.”
“That’s a start, now to find one starboard as well,” Mac said, “That post-side shoreline is at least 15, 20 miles away.”
“Agreed,” AJ adjusted course 45º to starboard, “I suggest we run this setting for an hour before making another change.”
“Right. Why don’t you get some rest below—Collie is there with your dad attempting to explain our sudden appearance. That’s an issue—Cujo didn’t tell us the why part of our relocation.”
“Thanks—but I think I’ll stay here; unless I hear the dinner bell.”
Episode 2—Scene 1… MV Pegasus II Stowaway Cabin… “There you have it, Boomer—a hide-a-bed couch and an easy chair. Lavish quarters, eh?”
“Here I was expecting a multi-level loft,” Boomer replied, “I’m a little disappointed.”
“We’ll make do.”
“We’ll make do.”
As the minutes became hours—and the hours became days—making do became more and more—how shall I say this? BORING!
When the days became weeks—somebody took notice—but said nothing.
At first, Medlar Farkleberry figured AJ’s absence was because he was off time-travelling. Then he noticed Boomer, Mac and Collie were missing as well—but the rest of the known time travelers were still around.
He happened to run into Sarah Cooper and asked if there was a time mission—she replied that there was not.
And that—GENTLE READER—is when the alarm went out.
